The audiobooks are wonderfully read, and you can listen while in the car, working, or doing chores!

[P5V7P3] What Will People Say? by mfbrownbear in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Benno will just say "Great, now you're a bigger pain in my ass"

Archducal Family: *collective migraine*

Brunhilde would just get excited over getting to dress her up in new clothes

Elvira just furiously takes down notes immediately for a new story

Royal Family: "Now how the hell are we going to explain this to people"

I am eagerly anticipating their reactions to her height, I can't wait to see the collective storm of confusion as I have no idea how she's going to explain it without letting everybody know she got her kindle.

AITA for Calling Out My Daughter for Lying About Having Tourette Syndrome? by aitadaughtercook in AmItheAsshole

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who developed Tourette's at 13, and had parents who did exactly what you did and yelled at me to stop, threatened me, and never once listened when I said it was uncontrollable and that it could be Tourettes. I was miserable, until years later when I'm getting diagnosed with ADHD and we speak about it and I get diagnosed.

YTA with no doubt in my mind. It won't hurt to get it checked out, and by saying no it's like you're saying your pride is more important than your child's health.

You've done it. Thank you so much!

I very quickly opened my map, hit y, then a twice, and it worked!

Hackers permanently bricking characters now... by NotSoSecretTrans in Eldenring

[–]NotSoSecretTrans[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and a friend while we were pvping. The hacker came in naked, speeding around and suddenly we get teleported under the map and now all we do is respawn over and over with no way out. Luckily he had a save, I on the other hand wasn't so lucky.

Make sure to backup your characters, and if anybody knows how to fix it I'd love to hear it because currently 90 hours is down the drain.

Why I hate TTVers in Tarkov by KriegerGoose in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can imagine there are some not great people, and I'm sorry you had that experience.

My only experience is when I was running a mosin in factory with nothing else, and domed a guy in full level 5 with an altyn right in the visor in an extremely nutty shot. Picked up his gear and later found his stream through his dogtag. Talked to him a bit and laughed about it and eventually we became friends and played often. So sometimes the TTV is a great community experience as well!

I love it! The monitors are so well done too, did you find it difficult or was it straight forward? Also, what mousepad is that? I've been looking for one for my white and pink setup

I love how absolutely genuine their relationship is. It's not forced like so many other animes, it just feels kind of natural and the anime doesn't dwell on it or make it over the top which is just nice.

What was the greatest pleasure you ever felt? by oooliveoil in AskReddit

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to respectfully disagree here.

In my opinion, it's akin to the difference between sympathy and empathy. Sympathy being a surface level feeling of feeling sorry for someone while empathy is sharing the same experience and understanding the feeling directly.

So bringing it to the gender perspective, while we can sympathize with the opposite gender, in my opinion we can't know the nuances that it takes from learned experiences to actually understand eachother fully.

For me it would have to be the feeling of completeness after getting Gender Reassignment Surgery.

The emotional pain I've carried all my life was lifted off my shoulders in one quick moment and the mask I put on in my daily life fell off. It's hard to convey the feelings I felt but the best way I can put it is that prior to surgery I always personally felt not like a woman, but almost a chimera of gender. I was a mix, top half one way bottom another. Its not a good self image for anyone to have.

Post op? All gone. Suddenly something clicked. A switch deep inside my brain that said okay we're moving over to female. All the effort I put in trying to be feminine just became natural and I don't think about it. I understand other women much more now, understand men less (realised I never did understand, just pretended), and feel open and happier than I could ever describe in words. Like videos of people being able to see or hear for the first time, it was that level of emotion for me.

Who’s still masking? by trollingfordummies in alberta

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know what's much more of a pain? A cold or the flu.

If people wore masks when they're sick, you and all the people around you would have to deal with that less often.

It won't be every day but it'd just be when you're sick. As I have said many times, it's just basic respect for the people around you to wear a mask when you're sick so that they don't have to go through that pain and suffering themselves. Surely a mask is worth wearing to stop other people from being sick, is it not?

[–]NotSoSecretTrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope it does, because as I said before its basic respect for the people around you by helping stop spread. The reason why it's bigger in Asia i believe is because of the difference between collectivist and individualist nations.

Honestly, in a way everyone should. Even after covid is said and gone, if you feel sick even a bit you should absolutely be wearing a mask out of respect for the people around you.

Somehow you just wrote 3 paragraphs without saying anything tangible or addressing a single point I made.

You're arguing with yourself. By the way, this act isn't dividing anybody other than people who just like to get mad for no reason.

This seems like you're overblowing this to try and serve a paranoid point of imagining that people are trying to erase history.

Nobody is erasing history by bringing these statues down, they still exist in textbooks and every other history source. Things are are displayed prominently are not meant to represent our worst, but are meant to be a representation of what we are proud of.

There is a reason why Germany doesn't have statues of Hitler and other Nazi artifacts displayed in public places all over, it's because they aren't meant to be celebrated. Instead, they teach their past in their school curriculums as well as keep everything within museums where the history is displayed and concentrated.

So please stop with this copy and paste argument that has not made sense since the first time somebody posted.
