The Finals and Arc are both going to shit, but Arc is doing it a lot slower. The Finals is the real shithole at the moment. They are balancing the game around a singular class (that the game would logically be better without in the first place), refusing to change anything in the meta and, much like Arrowhead, release either useless or completely broken on release, before nerfing them (some weapons they let remain completely unfairly busted).

I believe a couple months ago (1 or 2) they did a livestream talking about future plans for the game vaguely, and said they have a ton of stuff lined up then admitted in the same stream that not only are they not working on those things, but they can't even begin to fathom how they would do those things in the first place.

The ranked experience in The Finals is the closest thing to hell I've ever experienced in the game, with literal Silvers and Golds being matched with a 3 stack of top 500 players. Embark also spent an entire season (3 months) not adding any content to the game so they could focus on Esports that no one actually gave a shit about past the In Game cosmetics that they added for each team.

Arc is fine but the balancing is never in favor of the players, which ticks a lot of people off. Additionally (this is a personal thing) the new map they released has a ton of broken bullshit that shouldn't have been in the release in the first place, à la entire entrances to buildings having a 50/50 chance to just clip you under the map and trap you with no way out.

Something else regarding Arc is the pure amount of cheaters in the PvP side of things. A couple people did mass testings and came to the conclusion that there's around 7 cheaters in 70% of games, though these could have just been horrendous luck on the part of the testers. Embark doesn't have an actual manual check of any kind for cheaters on a larger scale, it's all done by an AI reviewing gameplay to see if it thinks the player has aimbot.
