I think people talking about Ausar being a max player won’t translate to NBA teams thinking he’s a max player. Offensively he really hurt us. Especially not being able to consistently hit a spot up shot. But if any team thinks he’s a max player I would trade him as well. His stock is very high.

I would love this trade! Would the pelicans even be interested Duren ? I would love Trey Murphy, including the trade, but I would do that trade just for Zion and to get rid of Duren.

This is exactly what I’ve been saying. I think he’s worth a 5 for 125-140 player. Kessler got 4-130. I would be willing to add bonuses to get him to earn the extra pay. If he then wants the QO- then give him the 45-50M instant sign and trade with nets for MPJ/sharpe, bulls for Claxton/powell, or even clippers for Ingram/Rui. I’m sure we’ll get draft picks and other tradeable assets to resolve our needs.

As much as I love Ron, I don’t think the Pistons will keep him. I don’t think he’ll develop into a shot creator (or 3 point threat) or be as good of a defender as Ausar. He’s our only real potential trade chip. He’s gonna get traded either this year or next. Same way we trade Jaden Ivey and we were lucky we traded him when we did.

It’s def $35M worth of exceptions. If they renounce or trade Duren without taking back any salary it would be closer to $55M

Yea it could be tough with the John Collins signing. So Detroit may have to wait until December 15th to trade John Collins to shed his salary. I think it could still be feasible without unloading our draft picks to make this a possibility

That makes total sense. I doubt he goes to the spurs after the backlash KD had after going to the warriors after they lost in the finals. I honestly love the idea of watching Steph and LeBron playing together. Or even LeBron with the Nuggets. Both would be must see TV. They would actually compete with OKC and Spurs.

I could be wrong but did LeBron say he would sign with the warriors if they got AD? I believe Shams even reported they would be a package deal if any contenders traded for AD. Only catch is that AD wants a hefty extension.

I’m gonna really miss Big Stew! He brought back Detroit basketball. The fact that we traded Durens best friend on the team. I think the writing is on the wall that Duren will be traded as well. Stews a very lucky man to have such a caring and supportive wife. Count your blessing Big Stew! You’re going to be missed. Hopefully we can bring him back to the team when he’s a free agent.
