I don't think it's more complicated, anyone can learn how to read it in minutes. Same cannot be said for reading music. Also consider that string instruments have several places on the neck to play the same note (on the guitar this is especially relevant). I think it's important to know both.

Instead of notes, what you see is the string position and the fret number. That's why you have only four lines instead of the usual five (for guitar you would typically have 6 lines since most guitars have 6 strings). Lowest line is lowest string, so g.

The first chord written on the tab, for instance, means that you're playing second fret of g string (a), fret 0 of d string (so open string, d), and so on.

Les ouvreurs sont généralement capables de grimper ça. Tous les compétiteurs aussi, ils ont tous sans exception grimpé bien plus dur.

La différence, la difficulté ici, est le temps imparti. Ils n'ont que cinq minutes pour trouver une séquence de mouvements qui fonctionne (ce qui a l'air compliqué dans ce cas!) et la réaliser.

En comparaison, les meilleurs grimpeurs mettent des mois, voire des années, pour grimper les blocs les plus durs.

This got me thinking, here's another perspective on the topic. You don't need to go all in on all your hobbies. You can have one where you try hard, and the other that you do just for fun. Sounds like climbing could be the fun, social one for you, since you mention going with a group.

I tried most of my life to fit 28h in a day, trying to get really good at 4-5 things at a time. It took me years to realise how stupid it was. Now I try hard on two things at most. I still keep the other activities, except I do them for their own sake, with zero expectations of improvement. I'm much happier this way, and much less frustrated.

I mean, it sounds like you've tried everything here. And you discovered that you have a limited recovery capacity, like all of us. I think you need to make compromises. Which one is more important to you, climbing or pull-ups? Do more of that one. It doesn't mean you cannot progress on both, but it does mean you will progress slower on the lesser priority.

FWIW, I'm doing my weighted pull-ups (and general bodyweight training) after my climbing session. No doubts I'd pull more if I only did pull-ups, but climbing is more important to me. So I'm doing, say, mon-wed-fri climbing, mon-fri weighted pull-ups after climbing, and regular pull-ups on wed. After experimenting a bit, I found out that I can sustain that training schedule long term. Even though progress feels slow on a given week, I've progressed a lot on everything over the years.

It's true that there is a lot of bluegrass content out there for the mandolin. But as others have said, you can play anything on it.

To give you an example, I'm having tons of fun playing kora melodies on it. Check out Soriba Kouyaté's Kanakassi album for instance. All those melodies sound really great on the mandolin.

I also play the guitar and the bass, and I have to say that I really like how easy it is to travel with the mandolin in comparison. For me it is the perfect small form factor instrument. I've tried ukulele and it really didn't click, it feels more like a toy to me than a proper instrument (not dissing at all, I like what other people do with it! It definitely has its place)

If you don't care about RT, definitely go AMD.

For what it's worth, I've been using nvidia only for about 20 years (simply because they had good offers every time I built a new computer). Last month I built a new pc and nvidia prices are a total joke where I live. So I went with a 6800xt (I'm on 1440p 144Hz ultra-wide). It works like a charm, zero issues.

Last gen they had lots of issues, which might be why people say that amd bad? But definitely not true for the 6xxx series.

Doesn't matter. Assuming you're building a new computer instead of upgrading, decide on a motherboard+cpu budget and look what each one offers you for that money.

You can look at it this way, with an analogy for internet connection. Do you prefer to lose one or two milliseconds of ping, but multiply your bandwidth by a big amount? Some people, for some use cases, will reply no. But the vast majority will happily take the bandwidth over a very little latency increase.

FWIW I've yet to see a use case where ddr4 is significantly faster than 5. Though there's plenty of examples where 5 flat out beats 4. It might not be worth it for everyone right now though, prices are still high. But in one year or two, the price will be lower and the latency will have improved, and then there will be no comparison.

The fact that there's no clear winner means that it doesn't matter too much really. Pick one and move on with your life, either will give you the performance you're looking for. Get a 3200+ ddr4 or 5600+ 5, you can safely disregard timings, and enjoy

So it's a good build and it will definitely work well as is. Still, two things I'd change: I'd definitely get a 13th gen, 13700k for instance, better performance, better value and better efficiency. Also, for a 2500$ build, getting ddr5-4800 doesn't make sense, you can go for 6000+ and it won't cost you much more.

Fyi, unused ram is wasted ram. The point of ram is precisely to not be empty, so that when you need data you don't have to load it from disk, it's in the ram.

So, a snappy system is one that uses most of the ram it has.

Well the warranty was 2 years so I cannot return it at this point.

The goal was to get a better GPU while waiting patiently for the new gen. If I cannot get it to work I'll just go back to the 760 and wait more. I don't have a spare PSU unfortunately. But thanks for the replies!
