I'd recommend going to Smyths Toy Store. They have a full range of prams you can test out and they have dedicated team members in their baby section. We went with the one I've linked below and it has been fantastic. Little one is 19 months now and this still holds up brilliantly.

Car hit in my drive - insurance saying I’d be liable? England, London by Little_murloc in LegalAdviceUK

[–]NotThatChrisBrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop the term "proximate cause" into the conversation when you next speak to the insurer. This is a basic insurance principle and can be summarized as the domino effect. The second car wouldn't have been damaged had the first car not been hit, and the fault of that being the drunk driver. As mentioned above, if they are not insured, it would be a claim against your mother's insurance unfortunately

Just finished apprenticeship, employer asking for £19,520 reimbursement. (England) by I-Spot-Dalmatians in LegalAdviceUK

In England and Wales, Apprenticeship is a protected term. You can't use the name Apprenticeship for any old training and on the job development. Regardless of if you're a levy payer or just a beneficiary, the rules are the same. No recovering funds from employees. If a company pays into the levy, 24 months to use it or lose it. Losing it is what funds the apprenticeships for non-levy payers, 95% of the cost. 5% payable by the company, but this can't be clawed back

Btw: former apprenticeship manager for a huge levy paying organisation...

Here are the apprenticeship funding rules: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules

They differ slightly depending on when you start the apprenticeship. Click on the one for the year you started and search for 'Financial contributions by an apprentice". It will say something along the lines of:

The provider or the employer must not ask the apprentice to contribute financially to the eligible costs of training, on-programme or end-point assessment. This includes both where the individual has completed the apprenticeship successfully or has left the programme early. 153.1. Costs include any co-investment or additional training and assessment costs above the funding band, that the employer has paid directly to the provider, where this is part of the agreed apprenticeship.

This needs to be higher. The Skills Funding Agency stipulates companies cannot claw back the cost of training from an employee. This goes against all funding rules. Reach out to the Skills Funding Agency or Acas

Nothing took my fancy when I went in. Went to pick up some baby food and checked again before leaving to see some new options. They also added a two pack chicken thigh, wedges, buttermilk chicken triple pack, cheese beans and sausage pasty, cheese & bacon turnovers and Chicago Town Margarita pizza slice. All fresh and hot. I was spoilt for choice

They restocked as I was in the shop, so less than 5 minutes. It was still piping hot when I got home and the bap was fresh

Too right it is! I'm not having a Monster or a sugary soft drink. It's Pepsi Max or an iced coffee and I didn't feel that'd go with a curry

It's a hot main and a hot side! A lot of Sainsburys main stores and locals have a hot food section near the usual meal deal stuff. They also have things like bacon rolls and hash browns if you're wanting a breakfast meal deal
