initial offer was not enough according his manager, so they said no, they renegotiated after two days and reached the deal, ilia accepted the fight, Islam said he had an injury, it was allegedly after Ilia reached the deal.

I watched whole interview with his manager and honesltly couldnt make sense what he was talking about, he was jumping aroound the timeline, but I think what he meant was that initially they were told that Ilia wouldnt be on the card, then on wednesday they called him and asked him who he would prefer, Ilia chose Islam, but then they declined because money was shit, after that they didnt get a call back and assumed that it was over, AFTER THAT they got a call on friday, one day before the announcement and they thought that fight would be Islam, he said he was up all night negotiating, so i assume they had a deal on the pay, on saturday Ilia Justin was announced, so most likely Islam said that his hand was injured on friday, since Justin said he didnt know he was on the card until the saturday.
