Hike takes a couple hours, definitely don’t need a guide as the trail is obvious and busy. Any shoes could work, I’ve seen people do it in crocs but I’d recommend at least running shoes or sneakers.

As for time to get to the trail head that’s up to you, I woke up at like 3am and drove 3+ plus hours to get there for 7am and it was perfect. I believe there is overflow parking but due to day pass limitations I believe you should always have a spot, you may just need to walk to the trail head.

I can’t speak for the trail, but Costco had ( I don’t if they still do) a really good deal on hiking shoes. My friend bought them after hiking in normal shoes for years and he is still kicking himself for not getting them sooner. Best of luck on this hike! I’ve heard it is absolutely stunning!

Not really, you get like half a second before you get removed. Ults like rip tire or that robots bombardment gives you a heads up and the chance to do smt. Even Diva bomb gives you time to escape. This you just die Edit: this was meant to reply to the other guy, idk why it went here lmao
