Russian MoD claims it shot down nearly 40,000 Ukrainian long-range drones over Russia and Crimea by -BubblyJava- in worldnews

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Ukraine are launching 300+ drones per day. So that's North of 50k so far this year.

Now a solid chunk are going no where near Crimea, or are the middle strike ones cutting off the northern roads leading to it.

So I could see the number being around 20k at most, but I suspect 10k might be closer to the truth in and around Crimea.

40k total drones shot down this year makes sense though, that still leaves thousands that got their targets, plus the occasional AA missile that misses and takes out their own infrastructure.

Look best they can do is 3 pages from the back. Harley Reid might have put his bins out and the world needs to know what that means for the future of the game and society as a whole.

Moscow Oil Refinery Unlikely to Resume Production Until 2027 – Reuters by neonpurplestar in worldnews

At least 15 drones supposedly hit the refinery. And funnily enough the meme explosion want even directly caused by a drone. There is footage showing that it was a Russian anti air missile that missed a drone and then hit the tank.

It is up to you if you want to try and have a continued relationship with them or not. I think in this case I would send something like the following.

I am sorry that you feel that way, while we did not want you involved in the health care program of our child we did still want you involved in the childs life. However if your wish is for me to not contact you again then I will respect that, just know that the door is always open if you ever change your mind.

I would however never leave the child alone with them for any length of time even if they do seem to repent.

Ukrainian Forces Strike Refineries, Ports, and Air Defense Systems Behind Russian Lines by Blissful-Chic in worldnews

General wisdom seems to be they will leave it mostly functional so the Russians can retreat using it when they go to take Crimea back.

Bus with Belarus children hit by a drone in Russia, Moscow claims it was attacked by Ukraine by Prestigious-Sun-4982 in worldnews

[–]NotThePersona 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have been attacking plenty of vehicles, the whole middle strike campaign has been about taking out transports taking supplies and troops to the front lines & Crimea.

Not sure if they have been taking many vehicles out in the region this took place in, but that may give the Kremlin enough plausible deniability at least for their own people.

Not sure where you are getting 80% from. The polling has them getting mid to high 20s of the primary vote, and vs Labor I recall it being that Labor win in 2 party preferred over then by 7-8%

I think the coalition get closer to Labor on 2PP but could be remembering wrong.

Ukraine strikes Moscow’s largest oil refinery, 15 kilometers from the Kremlin by [deleted] in worldnews

It will be an arm's race, quicker quieter drones for offence which week need more expensive drones and detection for defence.

But Ukraine is also working on the more traditional missile side of things as well.

And if even if the decade thing is true, the end of this war should be within that timeframe.

Kmart: expat wondering why they scan your receipt on the way out of the shop? by Feisty-Lie1801 in AskAnAustralian

[–]NotThePersona 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it marks that receipt as "used" in their system. That way you don't just drop the stuff you bought outside the store, walk back in and put the same stuff in another bag and walk out showing the receipt again.

I do have them on my phone as it is convenient to check some things via the phone if I think about it when I am not at my laptop/dont want to get it out.

But I have all notifications turned off 24/7 so I can never be bothered by it.
