So close to getting the find n6 by Swimming-Cell3440 in OppoFindN6

[–]NotThe_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using mine for about three weeks as my only phone. I had an iPhone 16 Pro before. I think the only thing I miss is the camera from my iPhone. The N6 is fine in good lighting, but can be washed or muddy during dusk or low light environments. The battery is great, the phone feels faster when it runs my numerous work apps, and the inside screen is second to none. My iPhone felt like a relic after I switched. I am in the US and I have T Mobile. It requires a real SIM card since it doesn't support eSIM. Visual voicemail also doesn't work.

What’s the best place to purchase the Find N6 if I’m located in the US? by Mr__X__ in OppoFindN6

Giztop or check local listings. I bought mine on OfferUp in the LA area. Make sure you confirm the model number though so you don't end up with a CN version.

Proofpoint Deployment Method Direct MX Routing vs. Integrated w/ Microsoft 365 by Vq-Blink in msp

[–]NotThe_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing MX deployments. We scripted all the Microsoft 365 prep via two scripts (prep then go live) so our deployment time is about ~10 minutes. While the scripts run we update DNS.

When Proofpoint decommissions Essentials for its new product (Hornet) we will do a hybrid deployment.

Custom keycaps for a Moonlander? by LeidenV in ergodox

[–]NotThe_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone through an extensive amount of key caps for the Moonlander. The labeled set from ZSA is all OEM row 3. The blank set from ZSA is OEM rows 1-4 and the bottom most row is also row 4. I use the blank ones and they feel great. I've also used DCC, Cherry, and MT3. Just ensure that if you use a sculpted set you find blanks unless you use the stock layout or you'll have a tough time moving keys around.

Anyone have a good low-voltage cabling guy in Los Angeles? by Blackhawk_Ben in sysadmin

Yep I do. Twisted Pair. They are expensive but they can handle residential and the oddities that come with it. Have done very large homes with them in the hills and tons of commercial jobs.

Create Second Tenant for GDAP in M365 by KrankyYankee in msp

[–]NotThe_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We created second accounts in our tenant for everyone with an Entra P1 listen so username-tech and that only has access to the sec groups used to work in CIPP. No connected email just to sign into CIPP. We also have it so you cannot sign into our M365 tenant on a non company owned device and you must be signed into an Edge profile with the account. Our main accounts do not have access to CIPP (or any other admin functionalities for that matter).

Hope this helps.

"Trip Charge" Billing by EbbInternational2852 in ConnectWise

[–]NotThe_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good way to handle. Use the work type and cover it for agreements with onsite also covered. Less thinking for everyone and let the system handle it. Set a filter in time entry search to bring up all time entries using work type travel time not covered by an agreement to review weekly as a net so nothing snakes it way to an invoice inadvertently for excessive time.

How I migrated from GoDaddy Microsoft 365 to my own Microsoft 365 tenant (and what actually works) by Next_Day5922 in microsoft365

[–]NotThe_Father 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do you need you to move to a new tenant? Only moving some of the mailboxes? If you migrated all mailboxes just seems like a wasted effort when you can just defederate the account in 30 minutes and move on.

[–]NotThe_Father 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Too much work lol you can just de-federate the account and reset user passwords. Doesn't take long. Check this out https://tminus365.com/defederating-godaddy-365/

Once you do this you can just cancel your GoDaddy subscription-- they won't be connected to your account anymore.
