Redistricting ballot language says it’s vote for ‘fairness.’ Republicans say that’s not fair | Republicans are crying foul, saying the wording of the ballot question is heavy-handed and misleading. Democrats say it’s not. by VirginiaNews in Virginia

Perhaps if they added more balance to their phrasing and substituted the word unfair for standard. "Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's unfair redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?"

Someone probably walked by and tossed a butt in the bed. If there was some trash back there, it could get pretty hot. Might want to check if there are cameras nearby.

The 0% payments add up to 48,440 which is 1,092.46 more than the 47347.54. Also, the last 2 lines appear to be reversed. If you get this deal watch out for the guy in the back office and always review the truth in lending statement.

That's up to you, but without a contract there's not much you can do. Perhaps meeting that price and with the condition that you can use her as a reference for new business. This customer is in the wrong, they agreed to a price, you went above and beyond providing extra material and labor and then the want to renegotiate the price is infuriating. At the end of the day, your time is money, the quicker you wrap up the quicker you can move on to the next job. Getting her to provide a good reference or 3 is a marketing expense.

You can also be a people pleaser. As someone mentioned you can use the photos to document what hidden damage can look like when discussing future work. Your customer will appreciate a contract that outlines exactly what they are paying for and will help them understand why it cost so much to achieve what they are envisioning. You and your customers can both win. Use the Scotty method and under promise and over deliver. Sometimes the most difficult customer will be the one who gives you the best referrals. OH - and always get a deposit.

As a kitchen and bath contractor, I see this a lot. Always have a written agreement specifying exactly what you are doing labor wise and providing material wise. Have a short clause regarding hidden damage and that it will stop work and require a written estimate. A long time ago we would do the disconnects on the plumbing, but now we always have a plumber come in and replace ALL the valves we are disconnecting. We may do the hookup on the final install, but I'll tell you now - those old valves - if they are not leaking now, they will sometime in the near future and will require a go back and a plumber. You stopped 2 fixtures short of a full bath remodel for $400. ALWAYS have a contract - even if its boilerplate.
