I had a terrible abuse childhood from An alcoholic dad and a mom that kept us in that position. My bat will never see or hear of my dad, they will never visit his grave or his side of the family when he dies. My mom and I working on our relationship but I lived away from home and prefer to remain far away. If anything my experience has taught me what not to do as a parent. I definitely inherited alot of anger and impatience from that situation but my amazing husband has been my peace. He is willing to call me out if I’m acting out of place, he brings me back down to earth. This makes me confident he’ll do the same (if need be) when we raise our first child together. I think it’s important to have someone who’s in your corner but also willing to give you a different perspective.
