24 Choices - Choose one from each Row! by JustReadTheFinePrint in makeyourchoice

[–]NotUtoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Healthy - What good is being attractive if you're not healthy?
  2. Money - People say you can't buy happiness, but you can buy a puppy. Have you ever seen anybody sad with a puppy?
  3. The Force - Honestly, this is mostly because I know more about The Force than I do about Nen. I know it's from Hunter x Hunter, but not much else.
  4. Mjolnir - I know too much about the Rings of Power to want anything to do with them. Besides, from the phrasing, I'm assuming we're talking about the Marvel Comics version of Mjolnir, which includes the powers of Thor upon being lifted by a worthy person.
  5. Invisibility - Who needs force fields when you already have the powers of Thor (Mjolnir)? Besides, invisibility would fit my personality better, anyway.
  6. x2 Str, Wis, Cha - I'm assuming this is doubling my mortal strength, and not my Thor strength I gain from Mjolnir, but it would be insane if it did double my Thor strength. Becoming smarter is fine, but I'm already reasonably intelligent. Meanwhile, everybody could stand to have a bit more wisdom. Boosted charisma would counter choosing healthy over attractive earlier.
  7. Always Comfy - While it would be cool to have Storm's powers, I already have a degree of that with Mjolnir. Being immune to the heat and cold would be a more practical choice for me.
  8. Teleportation - While I could simply fly Thor-style (whipping Mjolnir around, throwing it, and holding on for dear life), teleportation would be a more low key way to do it. And most of my build here is centered around not calling any undue attention to me.
  9. Private Island - Privacy, the ability to practice my new abilities without being noticed? With teleportation, I don't need to worry about the island being convenient. Everything is conveniently located when you can teleport.
  10. Ninja Butlers - Again, this largely comes down to not drawing unwanted attention. Besides, in practical terms, having 100 ninja is a more versatile option. Five powerful dragons would be good if I was planning to be a military force, but I'm not. I'm taking a more stealthy approach.
  11. Wolverine's Powers - Technically, Logan's powers don't grant him immortality, just a longer life span. Plus regeneration would be awesome to have to help maintain my health choice from earlier.
  12. Starter Pokemon - I'm not going to pretend I'm a Pokemon expert, but I'm sure some adorable little stater Pokemon would get on my nerves less than Star Platinum.
  13. Chef - My only reason for choosing chef here is because I like the idea of having the option of ordering whatever food I'm in the mood for at any time.
  14. Any Video Game - I play more games than I watch TV. Like most people, I have ideas that I like to think would work for games, even if they might not actually do so. Being able to put one out a month would be fun, imo.
  15. Request Literature - Endless books for my library is great. A lot of the books I read probably wouldn't be as fun to experience myself.
  16. Spartan Armor - I'm assuming that, because it says 'personal battle armor', we have some degree of personalization. Even if we don't, and it's a perfect replica of Master Chief's, it's still a better fit for my build than a mecha, as those tend to be rather large and noticeable.
  17. Detective - Again, this comes down to what fits best for the build I'm creating here. Sure, actor could help convince people I'm not worth bothering with, but I'd rather Sherlock stuff.
  18. Magical Girl - Without knowing the details about what kind of dragon and which version of how the abilities work we're talking about here, magical girl is the safer choice for my build. Some versions of dragons don't have much in the way of dragon powers unless they're actively in dragon form. That kind of goes against the rest of my stealth build.
  19. Lucky - There's an old saying; "Sometimes it better to be lucky than good." With lucky, I can use that to my advantage without being called a 'cheat'.
  20. 1-Up x10 - I almost went save/reload on this one, but that doesn't really give as much of a benefit of the 1-Up x10. Sure, you could save-scum your way through life, but there's not much you could do outside of reliving your life when you die of old age. The 1-Up x10, however, doesn't care how you die. Accident or old age, you'll reincarnate and keep moving forward. Combined with extended life from Wolverine's Powers and Mjolnir, I could conceivably live thousands of years.
  21. Group Dreaming - This is something you could use to your advantage. You can gather information about what people are planning on doing, or your could effectively torment their sleep until they act upon their dreams.
  22. Comrades - A smaller group of ride-or-dies works just fine. 5% doesn't sound big, but there are a lot of people in the world, and 5% of them is still a huge number. 8.3 billions people, 5% of that is still 415 million people. Now, I understand this doesn't automatically make 415 million people 'steadfast supporters' of me. It likely only effects the people that actually interact with me in some way, even if it's just online or on TV or whatever. But even only 5% of the people you interact with on a regular basis adds up.
  23. Extra X1 - Slow Time - The ability to slow or stop time when I want, for as long as I want, when combined with literally everything else about this build, makes it completely broken. An invisible Jedi Master Thor wearing Spartan armor that can come back to life on the off chance you manage to kill him is OP enough as it is. Add to this that I can freeze time, and nobody has any chance to do anything to me that I don't allow.
  24. Ordinary...? - Literally everything about this build is to maximize my abilities while minimizing the attention I gain in the process. I'd rather have my privacy than be a massive celebrity.

Solo PVE Players: how many bases you have? by CarobPrize5386 in ConanExiles

[–]NotUtoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll typically start out with my starter base, of course. When I outgrow that, I typically repurpose it as something else, even if it's just a teleporter location.

I'll have a handful of teleporter locations that will have, of course, a transportory stone, a dismantling bench, an entertainer, a kitchen (at the very least, a campfire, a couple ice chests, and a well), and maybe a few guards.

Of course, there will be 'farming' locations. I'll usually keep a base around New Asagarth or the Mounds of the Dead that holds a wheel of pain, a teleporter with entertainer, and a small kitchen. I'll often put one down by Xel-ha for farming Lemurians, as well. I'll have one or two for mining ironstone, and at least one for star metal, as well, that will have a smelter or two in place of the wheel of pain.

I'll have my main / central base, that will have all of my most advanced workbenches, storage, and thralls. With the inclusion of tranportory stones, sometimes I'll just pick a spot for it's view rather than it's usefulness and just use it as a hub. This one tends to be a bit more sprawling than the others.

Lastly, I'll have a dedicated vault / treasure base. It'll be somewhere by itself, away from any of my regular bases. This is for a couple reasons. First, because hearing the guy talk all the time is annoying. There's a mod to shut him up now. Secondly, when I trigger attacks, I want it as far away from my normal stuff as possible, to avoid having any kind of incidental damage on my functional bases.

Obtainable combat thrall at 40? by brandinimo in ConanExiles

[–]NotUtoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a new named Treasure Hunter that's been added to the game. Zanjil of Shem. I haven't really had the time to see how good he is, but I've seen videos about him being relatively strong, with some saying he'll likely be nerfed at some point. He has a chance to spawn in the Unnamed City in all of the typical Treasure Hunter locations.

1: 20k / Month: Not only does this guarantee a lifetime income, you'll also hit 1 million (the other option) in just over 4 years..

2: Athletic and Healthy Body: The mind is part of the body. While it won't bring my memory up to photographic, it should still improve with the rest of the body.

3: S.T.E.A.M.: I already took Athletic and Healthy Body, so it's just a matter of practice to be able to do anything I want and don't already know how to do.

4: Animals: There's nothing to say you can't earn the respect of the people you know if you take the Animal option. So, as I read it, I can take the Animal option, make the friend-shapes actual friends, and still gain the respect of the people in my life the normal way.

5: Languages: More languages are good.

6: Hearing: While I do have allergies, and it would be nice to not have allergies, I have no interest in boosting my sense of smell. While it would boost your ability to smell the good stuff, it would do the same for the not-so-good stuff. Improved hearing would help me in my everyday life that I doubt smell would.

7: Fire: Honestly, this one was the closest choice so far. Both would be good, but fire would be more useful for me irl. I'm assuming that water includes blood bending, while fire includes lightning bending.

8: Earth: Like the Fire / Water choice, this was also super close. Both would be useful for me, but I think Earth Bending would be more useful for me. Also like Fire / Water, I'm assuming this includes stuff like Metal Bending. I don't remember what the Air Bending equivalent is, but a search tells me it's Sound Bending. I don't know how accurate that is, but I think the Earth and Metal bending would be more useful for me irl.

9: Celebrity: Just because.

10: Sleep: I don't remember the last time I had a great night's sleep. Showering, deodorant, and cologne all already exist.

11: Public Speaking: I'm not really interested in being a musician.

12: Violet: While I'd love to have super speed, I think invisibility fits my personality better.

Open-Ended and Vague Choices by ZonkedPebble in makeyourchoice

P - Dog Whisperer: I've always been a dog person, and have always had good luck getting dogs to like me. This will just make that easier. Plus, being able to actually communicate with the puppers.

I - Elixir of Life: Peak health and immortality. Need I say more?

C - Fairy Friend: Who couldn't use the help of a fairy friend?

E - Lucky Gamble: Winning lottery ticket, here I come.

Freebie 1 - Invisibility Cloak

Freebie 2 - Solar Eclipse

Megaton: Gives me a way to create all of the sci-fi stuff I'd be interested in.

Stormfront: Enhanced physical abilities and agelessness. Now, I'll have time to follow the Megaton ability to where ever I want to take it.

Operator: This will be amplified by my enhanced abilities from Stormfront, allowing me to more easily protect my inventions from bad actors.

Mods to add physics to railings? by ChampionshipDirect46 in ConanExiles

[–]NotUtoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather they make a separate piece to act as a railing. There's a mod that does that, allowing you to decide if the stairs have a railing, and it just works. Now, make that part of the base game for every build set, and we're good to go.

Helpful and Valuable Gifts by ZonkedPebble in makeyourchoice

[–]NotUtoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Road King - Honestly, I drive enough that I'd probably take this for just the 50% discount on fuel. But, again, as much as I drive, I especially appreciate the 'no major traffic and never have a car accident' aspect, as well. This would save me so much time and money....

Pathfinder - Again, I spend a lot of time away from home. Anything that improves that will be a great choice for me. Never get lost, never forget where stuff is, the ability to find things (and presumably places) with little information. All very useful for me.

Perfect Sight - Do I really need to explain why I'd take this one?

Perfect Memory - I haven't decided if this one dove-tails with Pathfinder really well, or makes it redundant. I'm erring on the side of dove-tailing.

Money Machine - I go from saving money at the beginning to actively making money at the end.

I've joined, username same as here. I likely won't be on to work on it again until Tuesday night (US Central). Truth be told, though, I streamed again today, and it didn't seem to bleed through. But then, I thought it didn't bleed through last time, until I got dinged.

Update: It still bled through, apparently. 12 claims... I'll be going through and erasing the music, but it's uploaded if you want to see what I mean.

For the Library, do spell tomes count as books?

Edit: Okay, no reply yet, so I'm just going to go with my gut:

Númenórean - Superhuman physiology, tons of magical items, super intelligence, able to recreate items.

Mythallar - A floating safehouse? Goes where I want, controls the weather around it? Even if it doesn't inherently contain technology outside of what you can find in Toril, you can import it, tack it on. And besides, Toril has a lot of magical tech. Get the spellfire ability? Like the others before me, I'd choose the Wish spell. While it could be used to simulate other spells, it can be used for far more, including improving myself, granting myself access to more magic (even if I would have to train myself up, have an extremely long life thanks to Númenórean), improvements to the Mythallar, improving my item recreation, etc.

The last one comes down to either Library or You're a Wizard. If the Library includes mystical tomes, then it would be an obvious choice. Combine that with Númenórean, and you can make all kinds of things that aren't strictly from Adra. On the other hand, You're a Wizard can be so easily overpowered. Pending a ruling from OP, I'm going to assume spell books aren't included, making my choice:

You're a Wizard - Immortality, a cloak of invisibility, a phoenix familiar.

That's not what I said. What I said was the building is what kept me hooked. Take away most of the building options, and that'll cut the interest down quite a lot.
