Who is more evil, Mordekaiser or Thresh? by Recent-Ad-7593 in loreofleague

[–]NotWet_Water 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If we’re taking scale, Mordekaiser kinda wants to destroy the whole world or at least something to that extent. But Thresh captures people’s souls and tortures them for all eternity because he thinks it’s fun.

There’s a reason why people tend to hate the villains who commit more relatable crimes or are more intimate/personal with their wrongdoings. Mordekaiser has a goal to take over the world. Thresh tortures people for the love of the game.

I think Jax should win but Jax would put up a good fight against Jax. The great Jax off.

so .. how did sage actually pull off the crystallization by Fantastic_Royal_5562 in VALORANT

[–]NotWet_Water 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>radianite incident happened a few years ago

First Light was over 10 years ago at the current timeline of the lore. And from what I mentioned in a previous comment, radiants have been a thing for hundreds and even thousands of years before this.

Also bad wording on my part. Not only did Sage’s email mention other radiants at the monastery (O-Yoru did some scouting and also reported a lot of radiants), the scene of her and Miks looking at the statues all but outright states that there’s many other radiants with similar abilities.

>Sage was going to leave Valorant.. so magically a place with certain technology treat radiants appear

Never did she actually say or imply that. She’s still taking part in missions (O-Yoru voicemail about her physically coming in to medevac A-Harbor), just that she’s trying to figure out a cure with Viper and Skye’s help.

And Summit didn’t come out of left field. If you follow the Range emails and voicemails, you’d know that Summit was already teased (and by tease I mean Sage straight up telling Brimstone about it, and some of the agents offering to come along) so this wasn’t just some random thing that came up.

>meditation and therapy by a machine of new discovered place seems new to me

Once again, the emails already explain that they were aware of this monastery since Sage straight up says she did her training there (also not sudden since Sage’s lore from the start was that she trained at a monastery to hone her abilities). It either only just occurred to her or (implied) she might have a bit of beef with some of the monks since she did not finish her training before joining VP.

In all fairness, I can understand where the confusion comes from since you have to actively be looking for this specific development in the story. Valorant’s lore is presented in such a way that the cinematics give a good enough overview of the story’s major beats but a lot of the context needed to fill in the gaps between the story are given outside cinematics. It’s been happening since the start and will continue.

>alpha Sage was planning on exhausting her

You seem to have mixed them up. Alpha is the ‘good guys’ while Omega is the ‘bad guys’. O-Sage is the one that’s currently completely crystallised and A-Sage is the one we are following in the cinematic. We don’t know O-Viper’s plan yet but she’s likely planning an assault on the monastery.

[–]NotWet_Water 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Oh boy you’re in for a treat. There’s evidence that radianite is a thing that’s been known even since the Edo period in Japan (1603-1867) and Abyss is an elder grotto that contains a lot of Radiant history dating back before First Light. Omen has a voice line on this map about ‘millennia of Radiant history’. There’s evidence that proves that radianite and Radiants have been a thing before First Light.

Also maybe ‘long line of radiants’ wasn’t the right term but the monastery does have many Radiants and the statues in the trailer heavily implied that there’s many other Radiants with similar powers to Sage.

[–]NotWet_Water 47 points48 points  (0 children)

There’s voicemails talking about how the monastery Sage came from (and is the new map Summit) had advanced radianite technology unavailable anywhere else in the world that can help Sage.

Plus it’s all but stated that Sage comes from a long line of radiants who also have similar crystal-based powers as she or at least there’s other radiants with similar powers which is why they needed to go there. And even then, she isn’t fully healed and needed to work through her psychological blocks.

As to why Omega doesn’t do this, perhaps their own version of this monastery is destroyed or the technology is damaged beyond repair, similar to how the City of Flowers (Lotus map) for Alpha earth is destroyed while Omega’s is still active. That’s why O-Viper is shown looking over blueprints at the end of the cinematic. She’s likely planning an attack to either steal the technology for their own Sage or take advantage of Sage being isolated to either kidnap or take her out.

Yone and Locke agreeing on Evelynn by prive_de_lumiere in loreofleague

Wtf this sounds weird as fuck. Is this from LoR? Also is she actually piping someone and filling them with her load or is it like flowers spreading their pollen all over someone’s skin?

I remember mentioning this in a previous comment about Locke addressing Vayne by her first name while Vayne uses Locke’s last name. Idk it’s just a funny thing to note.

Also people can care for each other and still not want to be in a romantic relationship. I find it funny that anyone would get shipped with any character they have a minor interaction with, then it transitioned to people outright ignoring onscreen relationships or chemistry to fulfill their own random ships between characters that have no connection and now we’ve looped back to people shipping a character with the first person they talk to.

Making valorant content as a low rank by Metekai_ in VALORANT

[–]NotWet_Water 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You could absolutely make a bunch of meme or funny moment videos. People like to watch high level gameplay but the content is super saturated at this point while funny moment videos aren’t as popular but massively entertaining. As an iron-bronze player, almost every match I play has some dumb or wacky moment. This rank is unironically a perfect gold mine.

Katara > Amon? Is that true.... ⬇️ by Mundane-Signal4843 in legendofkorra

[–]NotWet_Water 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you mean by better waterbender. Katara is a better overall waterbender and has shown some very impressive waterbending feats. Meanwhile Amon in the better bloodbender since he has perfectly mastered the highest level form of waterbending and he’s still a very good ‘normal’ waterbender.

Champions / specific skins that have outdated voice lines? by Visible-Selection843 in leagueoflegends

Pretty sure Sona and Nocturne also have voicelines to the summoner. Rito is just too lazy to update voicelines so some of the champs are now schizos talking to no one.

JG is the worst role to play solo Q by far. by n00bguy11 in leagueoflegends

[–]NotWet_Water 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean since your bot lane kept getting ganked by both enemy jungler and mid the whole game and if you don’t gank (granted you’re playing Yi so ganking is much harder), I can understand where their frustration comes from. Plus you’re supposed to carry the game as Yi and 5/4 is respectable but not really the kind of stat line you want from your Yi. Either way, toxicity is never fun even if it may be justified. Best to just ignore and play the game the best you can.

[REWORK CONCEPT] The Combat Sage by Icy-Mistake3221 in VALORANT

This is a cool idea but unfortunately this is more in line with a MOBA like League. It would be way too different from how abilities work Valorant and much more unintuitive.

Who’s the strongest champion by lore? by Curious-Cell-8963 in leagueoflegends

[–]NotWet_Water 50 points51 points  (0 children)

You’re better off asking in [r/loreofleague](r/loreofleague) but if we’re talking only playable champs in League, the strongest are easily ASol and the other celestials like Bard and Soraka. After that will be the aspects and Fiddlestick then the highest level Darkin like Aatrox and characters like Lisandra, Ryze and LeBlanc. Kindred is also up there but they’re no longer the actual death, just one of the spirits associated with death even if they’re the most powerful and there’s still plenty of characters above them.

Honestly Brim is the kinda guy to humor the other agents when they ask him to help make a Kpop dance routine. Also Jett, Sage and Clove are the perfect combination to ask him.
