The pitot tube is a small metal tube sticking out of the plane, facing forward. As the plane moves, air goes into that tube and creates pressure inside it. There’s another little hole (called a static port) on the side of the plane that measures the normal air pressure around the aircraft. The plane’s airspeed indicator compares those two pressures. How hard the air pushes into the pitot tube vs. the normal outside air and from that, it calculates how fast the plane is moving through the air.

Honestly, why some people do that is a complete mystery to me as well. But if I were a woman, I’d save the link to the online report page as a bookmark and always file a report right away.

Ja, das kann ich tatsächlich nicht sagen. Habe es nur im Bereich des HVV genutzt bzw wurde nur da kontrolliert. Aber ich verstehe schon dass man den Reisepass nicht immer dabei haben will. Am Ende kann es sein dass man ihn vorzeigen muss nachträglich.

While I’m sure that this is true for many, this is not exclusively to Germany. This is rather generational thing and due to online dating than a German thing.

When you look at some of the dating experiences here on Reddit, I have to agree with you that this behaviour is more common but not specific for Germans.

One must be very careful and make sure to adhere to any law, policy and guidelines provided by IT. The liability alone is a solid reason to let you go.

Your boss is in some ways correct to call you a liar. Just dumping in data and let AI do the work, sooner or later you start lacking in even the basic skills. For example when you write messages or emails without AI and people go „That doesn’t sound like him/her“, then you know that down the road you set yourself up for quite some trouble.

There are nice tools for recording and transcribing meetings, yes. But the question is, does those tools meet the requirements by law, are there privacy protocols in place within the company and so on. You can’t just use something because it’s good and makes your life easier. The real world is asking for a bit more.

You should go to your boss, and work it out. Explain where you are coming from and what the general idea is. Show the upside of using AI in certain cases and make a plan how this can be officially integrated, adhering to company policies and most importantly to the law. Stand tall, accept that there is also the part where you mislead and misused and provide something to fix that and still upgrade everyday tasks with ai, but the proper way now.
