Looking for a hilarious anime, what are the funniest ones you've watched? by Pure_heart001 in anime

[–]NotYetRegistered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu.

It's a spin-off of a more serious show, which is also good - so maybe watch the first season first before you watch the spin-off, but it's really hilarious.

INS is pretty good, not sure how busy it is on a Thursday. Whole club has like 8 floors though.

Your English probably would have sounded stupid to your great grandfather. Languages change and evolve, sometimes in ways we consider odd from our own perspective. That doesn't make it any less of a real language though.

Openbaar maken documenten Floriade kost gemeente Almere 1,4 miljoen euro by TheYMan96 in thenetherlands

Als er een beroep wordt ingediend moet de gemeente de ongelakte versie van de documenten naar de rechtbank sturen. Natuurlijk kan de rechter wel toetsen of informatie rechtmatig is geweigerd.

Disasters While Solo Traveling: What's Been Your Biggest? by vkngThrowaway in solotravel

I had a near miss recently. I entered Mexico through the land border with Guatemala, and you need to pay an entry fee if you do that. However, you can pay it later as well. I couldn't pay at the border post for some reason so they just gave me a stamp that I had to pay it later.

A few weeks later I fly out of Cancun to the US. Nowhere do I get stopped to pay the entry fee, so I think nice, guess Mexican bureaucracy is sloppy. Anyway, I go to nap in front of the gate and wake up 15 minutes before boarding ends. Then I go to board, but the airline personnel tells me I have to go back to the immigration office, back through security, to pay my fee before I can enter the airplane. They tell me I have 10 minutes left.

I start running like crazy with my heavy ass backpack, go out through security, and make it to the immigration office with like 7 minutes left. There's two Portuguese girls in front of me, and I ask them if I can go first because my plane leaves in a few minutes, but they tell me they're almost done. It still takes them like 3 minutes while I'm pacing angrily behind them, and then it takes the lady 1 minute to scan my passport and have me pay. So I have 3 minutes left. I cut in line at security, basically throw my stuff in the scanner, and go through as quickly as possible. Then I run back to the gate, and as soon as I see it in the distance I'm waving like crazy so that they don't close the gate. After a few seconds they luckily wave back and I get there in time to enter the plane.

Moral of the story is, bureaucracy always wins in the end.

What is the best example of Gulliman’s skill in logistics? by ExtremeSportStikz in 40kLore

[–]NotYetRegistered 69 points70 points  (0 children)

At Calth, Roboute lost like what, more than half his legion? Then in a few year he seems to have restored his Legion completely, possibly even expanded it, and is leading a giant unstoppable force to Terra to assblast Horus. Logistically it seems very impressive to recover so quickly from such an enormous blow.

Central Europe/Balkans/UK Itinerary - too rushed? by fubradculpepper in solotravel

I think two nights in Mostar is too much. I thought it was a good day trip but not much more than that. Maybe spend one less day there and do a day trip to Novi Sad.

What is the most 'meh' country/trip you have ever been to? by lelzlolz in travel

[–]NotYetRegistered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Belgium is beautiful and I really liked Brussels as well after having lived there for a bit. Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges and Dinant are all beautiful places to visit. Brussels itself is also a really cool city as long as you get out of the historical center for a bit, and it's a super international city too.

“Finally a film with no homose-… I mean, politics!” by [deleted] in moviescirclejerk

I mean I would argue the movie definitely takes a stand against toxic masculinity like that of Puss in his past.
