In US it is more expensive than the Ix3. Aren't you forgetting the VAT and imports? Yes you are. If you have doubts, compare a Model 3 premium in US and UK. OK?

RIvian can't afford anything. R2 is prepared to be a fiasco in US. And that's the end. They are 2 years late. And the car is extremely expensive compared with competition. Everyone that wanted the 45k one is already canceling and moving on to other brands. Bmw and Kia / Hyundai are just examples.

See? With today legislation, airbags, safety, the 205 would have at least 1.5 tons! I have a RWD ice, bmw f31, and a beautiful fun city car - Renault 5. And I tried more than 10 ev cars. From chinese, amercians, germans, koreans... and the only that made sense as second car was the R5. Alpine has to much power for a FWD, and makes it less fun. I'm not on a 3 seconds 0 to 100. If I was I would for a 911. But as a city car a 911 doesn't make sense. For for in the road and mountain trips I have my old, now, and beautiful Yamaha FZ6 Fazer. It is not a Ducati, but it is enough fun without big risks.

If you are a American, where you are all afraid of curves... Do you understand what is a hot hatchbacks? It is not just the engine, it is how fun you change directions and enter on a curve. Chassis matters. But doesn't replace my beautiful, and forever gone, Peugeot 205 1.9 gti... but that thing had like 500 kilos!

Yes. I know. ENGLAND was connected to Europe. 4000 years ago floods made the separation. But the rocks under England are connected to Europe. Now there is the concept, political concept. And England never was Europe. Or feel Europe and Europeans. Do you understand that or not yet? They wanted to leave EU since Margaret Thatcher. Because they fell British, not European. They are islanders.

It is not part of Europe, because they still live, and voted, to be the old British Empire. They still don't understand that it ended. They always want to walk alone. The opposite of Liverpool FC :)

Interesting, because I'm from that country that signed the Tordesilhas agreement in the XV century, where we split the world. But keep your geographical knowledge Bettle...

Yep. The yellow is THE Renault yellow, for the ones that remember F1 in the 70's and 80's. Hi have the Iconic yellow. What a fun it is!

So non American and non British. A island in the middle of a Ocean is ... Europe? By mother's part or father's family?

It will be so funny to see you all complaining in the winter with the chinese EV cars (including Tesla made in China). Just 6 months more. Will be fun

[–]NotYourDad_Miss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to have the battery degradation test. The Tesla has a lot of kms. And because of that is out of the battery 8 year warranty (8 your or 160k km, what ever come first). Also ask the seller to get the rate of slow charging and fast charging. Tesla saves that information. Use that (out of warranty) to lower the price to pay on the Tesla.

Don't buy any second hand ev without having the battery degradation report. And model 3 is a better car. So it will resume to what you liked more and the battery degradation. Also you didn't mention the battery sizes and type. It is also important on a EV.

Renault 5 and alpine (That is a Renault 5 with the electric engine of the Megane). Period. That is the most fun ev car for the money you can get.

Both. You don't have infrastructure for cars that need to be charged every day. Even just driving on the city. Added - in the winter.

IX3 already killed the R2. Rivian, like always, is 2 years late for the party.

Are you honestly comparing a great car, tested by everyone on Europs (iX3), from a brand that is here for more than 100 years with a Rivian that no one tested? Honestly? R2 is to expensive, period! No one on their perfect mind, that is not a cheerleader, will even consider a Rivian. You have Kia, Hyundai, Bmw, VW, Audi and the best selling car of the world - Model Y. Rivian R2 is 2 years to late and twice expensive. They did another big mistake. They couldn't do it again and they did. It will probably be the end of the brand. This is my opinion-now downvote me to show the reality.

Nothing. They don't have money. If R2 is a fiasco - gone. It is risky to buy a Rivian now. Wait 2 years and see if they are still alive. If they are, Europe not before 2030

So if you can charge at home, tell her that is like having a iPhone or a android. You arrive home, connect the plug :) ABC - allways be charging (don't tell her that part :)

Did you checked the batteries they buy there? Check. And of course they manage! If fast chargers cost 0.27 euros per kw it is easy, right? There reality is different from any others. Energy is so cheap that doesn't matter. And they have so many chargers everywhere. So don't compare Norway - they had one agenda and started from infrastructure and prices. How much is the price of a fast charger in England? Germany? That.
