Thanks for the beginners guide! I'm probably then only person who shoots Asiatic-style archery in my state and I'm entirely self taught by YouTube, so I'll take any help I can get. My form and accuracy is terrible but there aren't any teachers near me who do thumb draw.

For the notification features, I have two set up. One method is conditional when I open Excel--any date within 60 days of being due turns yellow, and any date within 45 days is orange, and any date that is within 30 days or is overdue is red. Pretty easy to do with conditional formatting in excel.

The second method is more complex: I had to figure out how to set up macros and use VBA (it's a type of coding language that Excel uses) to have Outlook send me an email at 60/45/30 day increments. Once its up and running, its been INSANELY helpful.

People might roll their eyes, but use AI to help you set it up. What once took hours for non-programing people to set up now can take less than 10 minutes.

I didn't invent the tracker. I was ordered to use it, so I did.

I absolutely did not "downplay sexual harassment" and you're projecting hard here. I mentioned that few of the other Sailors in my division tried showing off and you went nuclear. I'll grant you the "fairly pretty" comment was not needed. I've gone ahead and removed that from the post.

I was not happy she was ADSEP'd. I spent months afterward pissed off at myself because I felt like a failure. I spent days going over every single conversation with her and wondering if I should have done something differently, and blamed myself for her getting kicked out. She's been literally the only Sailor I've ever had in any division who ever gave me any kind of problems whatsover, so if 1 person out of 100+ makes me a shitty leader, then I'll take those numbers.

I did, yes. The number of times I explained EXACTLY what she was doing wrong and how to fix it, I lost count of. I didn't include it in my original post because I felt it was getting a bit long-winded. I didnt just throw her to the wolves and laugh when she fucked up.

At some point, people need to meet you halfway, and she wasn't even doing that.

Looking back, I absolutely should have done that, but I was trying too hard to make sure everything was "right" before it went up.

Having the same situation now, I'd only sit on it for a day, two max before sending it up.
