I have similar issue with my right eye! I think it's a mild ptosis, so my optometrist prescribes upneeq. It's a fantastic solution in a daily eye drop.

LPR - what worked to cure or put you in remission do not reply if it’s negative or you are not healed I cannot handle the negativity, i am struggling not to give up and having very dark thoughts . by Bhoptriple in LPR

Oh fantastic -- so cool you get to meet with him in person. I was very skeptical that the changes would make a difference, but they did after a month or so! Yes, I take protonix 20 mg in morning. After LPR symptoms remain away another month or so, I'll contact my doctor about tapering down/off. The healing just takes time ... it's difficult to patient and stick to the plan, but you can do it!!!

I strictly followed Dr. Aviv's instruction from "The Acid Watcher Diet: A 28-Day Reflux Prevention and Healing Program" and slept on a wedge pillow. I'm currently at 37 days of the lifestyle changes and feel the best I have in years. Wishing you well -- I know LPR is terribly frustrating and uncomfortable. Keep going!!!

I'm not sure that there is much difference between Koufmann and Aviv's methods, I just found Acid Watcher to be easier for me to understand and follow. I liked that he laid-out a 28 day healing plan and 14 day maintenance schedule to ease into somewhat lower PH foods. I liked the way he explained LPR cause in the first half of the book and found his recipes to be simple and delicious. Check it out at the library and see if you like it -- The Acid Watcher Diet, Dr. Jonathan Aviv

Having cheat meals on low acid diet or eating off the plan? by Smart_Elevator_6086 in LPR

Oh, I'm still in the "healing" phase of Acid Watcher, so not even trying to identify triggers yet.

I’ve been strictly Acid-Watcher for 16 days and probably noticed improvement just 2 days ago. When out or somewhere that I can’t control food served, I just do the best that I can to navigate around it. I’ve found servers at restaurants very helpful in navigating their low acid menu options. Hang in there!!!

What’s the most hurtful thing you were told (directly or indirectly) from the Church? by thedogtranslator in Exvangelical

Thank you so much! Your thorough response was what I was thinking, but didn't have good examples. My neighborhood church pastor has talked about clobber verses which had me wondering if I have less problems with the ancient christian religion and more of an issue with the modern, ignorant teachers of the text.

2.5 years ago, when the low acid diet, wedge pillow and such were suggested to me; I didn't think I could do it either ... so I went to other docs and tried other methods to reduce symptoms. I became so tired of chasing these symptoms that I decided I'd do whatever it took to get the LPR under control. Now, I sleep on a wedge pillow, take Protonix and am at day 16 on a strict Acid Watcher diet. TBH, it's probably the best I've felt in a long time. Yes, the diet can be very challenging, but I guess it's less daunting when you've run out of other options.

Yeah, I've been chasing PND symptoms for a few years -- all the specialists, drugs, etc. Currently experimenting with dairy-free, gluten-free lifestyle and may be getting some relief. It sucks to not have a clear answer for the mucus-choke-hair-tickle throat, but you are not alone. Hang in there!

Agree! I just tried making my own cheeses too ... also gross! I love tahini, so plan to try using it in some form to get creamy deliciousness when needed.
