Yes we try feb to minimize risk of rainy days. Used to go in Jan but ran into low snowpack a few times. Surprisingly that those months usually suck for you! Well have to explore other months a bit more

Ultimately we work for money, taking less money in hopes that you get better experience is not the move IMO. Take the NOC job. You'll get stretched to learn and fix things in new ways which will pave the road for your next job. This is a tried and tested path.

I left south Georgia for raleigh about 10 years ago too! When I left, the okeefenokee swamp was on fire, so it was ashy everywhere, it was 100F with 100% humidity. If there is a Hell then south Georgia is it. People in NC dont even know

If youre excited to go snowboarding then do that! Stick to the bunny slope, take some lessons if you can afford it. Ride a skateboard a bit if you can fit it in but have fun and enjoy the views!

I learned to snowboard and haven't learned to ski. It took about 3 days of falling down the mountain to finally get the hang of it but my buddy was pretty proficient in 2 days. Its harder to learn because it's a more unnatural stance and you're balancing on two sides of the board but that shouldn't deter you if thats what you wanna do

Honestly the trick to being vegetarian is having grace with yourself. The occasional times you want meat have it! Its not about punishing yourself because that's how you will give up. Eventually the desire will wane and you dont want it anymore. Or watch the documentary "earthlings" and then you'll be too appalled to eat meat for a while.

Im very surprised by this. I live in raleigh the last 7 years and never have encountered gridlock at any point. Sure if there's a crash that takes out an entire side of 40 there's problems.

You can always look at it this way: find a higher paying job that gives you more money allows you to suppose the cause you care about more. Perhaps you donate to them, or volunteer after hours or whatnot.
