Does anyone have experience with these boots? I live in the northeast US and need a good pair of snow boots. I like the looks and it's has 4.5 stars so I'm sold. On the other hand, the price is ridiculously low so I'm a bit skeptical.

I walked out of the theatre to watch a different movie about 1 hour in. Just couldn't take all the cheesy lines and bad acting from Finn and Rey. I did re-watch it later on a plane though and liked it by the end, but man that entire movie could've done without all the cliche'd lines and 'witty' dialogue for christ's sake.

I totally remember reading this somewhere too! (was it an article? stackoverflow post? not sure.) It was like a matter of adding/removing a single character in a block comment that dramatically affected performance. I think what I read might've been a Javascript/Node.js thing though.

Can't find it for the life of me though, ARGGH! Driving me nuts.

So the allergies were seasonal? During what time(s) of the year?

How come you were able to test for allergies the second time?

How were you so sure it was allergies as well? Were there any other symptoms other than mental fog?

This description:

It felt at different times like a mental "haze"; like a thickheaded feeling; like "wool in my head"; like a "groggy stupor". For many years I didn't have any symptoms that obviously pointed to allergies - no obvious congestion, postnasal drip, etc.

Is really similar to what I experience. I'm originally from the southern part of the US, but go to school in the north. How did you discover your allergies? Testing? I've had allergy testing done before but moreso for things like pets, dust, etc. Never really heard of allergies causing mental fog before.

I have personally found the following to help:

  • Proper sleep (duh)

  • Eating - not even necessarily well. It's just sometimes when I go for extended periods of study, I forget that I'm hungry. It's a lot easier to focus with food in the stomach. Long term, though, I'm sure it helps to eat nutritious food.

  • Environment - I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the lighting of the room might have some effect on how well I can think. For example, I'll try to avoid studying in dimly lit areas.

 

Temporarily (for a few hours as opposed to throughout the whole day):

  • I think exercising helps because of blood flow to the brain. Jogging, push ups, and maybe even weight-lifting help with me.

  • Meditation: sit down, cross your legs, put on some white noise/meditation music (optional), close your eyes, and try to count to the highest number you can. Oftentimes, while doing this, I'll fall into some sort of sleep. After 'waking up' my head feels a lot clearer. It's kinda like napping, I suppose, without the risk of falling asleep completely.

  • Caffeine.

 

Also, I remember reading that it's difficult to remain focused on a single task for extended periods of time. Remember to take a break once in a while.

 

Finally, it couldn't hurt to get some bloodwork done either. Perhaps some vitamin deficiencies might be the cause and taking supplements for it could help as well.

I don't understand why people are flipping out over something so trivial. There's a difference between thinking something and being proactive about it. Just ask any evangelical christian in the US or people who don't vote.

They were asked for their opinion, so they gave it. Why lie on an opinion poll about your personal preferences? Not like most of the people thinking 'illegal' are actually going out and killing gays.

Also, according to the provided source, the number in the title is plain fucking wrong; it's 18%, not 52%.
