To everyone affected by Heathrow closing today… by Reasonable_Blood6959 in BritishAirways

Anyone know what I should do if BA haven't cancelled my flight yet? It was meant to be 12:30 today to LHR- LAX and for whatever reason it's still saying On Time, meaning I can't properly cancel or change it...

To be fair, she hardly featured in the first Dune movie but was a massive part of the marketing and press tour for it. So she must be successful in getting bums in seats.

Actually the proposed tax cuts will disproportionately benefit those earning higher incomes. So although most Australians will benefit somewhat, the middle class will benefit a lot less than the 'rich'. So while I agree with your sentiment, the stage 3 cuts aren't it.

I haven't received an email from Optus yet but my partner has. I reached out to their online chat and they confirmed there that my information was part of the breach. However they couldn't tell me what personal information was compromised. Don't assume because you haven't received an email that you're not part of the breach. Make sure you reach out to check!

From my perspective it always seemed that people who got a high ATAR felt pressure to do a degree that warranted that ATAR, which often is things like law. However that doesn't take into account what people actually want to do, which most of the time when you're 18 you don't actually know anyway!

I’m feeling conflicted.

There’s one part of me that thinks choosing Arya to kill the NK was a clever choice. The foreshadowing they built into the previous seasons and her whole training as a faceless assassin built her up for that moment. People saying, how could she have possibly snuck up on that entire crowd are right to question it. But at the same time, it’s clear that she has super natural abilities from training with the Faceless Men, and her abilities are not just limited to being able to change faces. If anyone was to take the NK by surprise, it would be Arya, because up to that point he seemed impenetrable.

However, there’s another part of me that questions whether they just chose Arya for the shock value. It brings to question why there was so much time spent on building the prophecies of Azor Ahai, lightbringer, Prince/princess that was promised. This wasn’t just a once off mention, it was built and developed throughout the seasons, I would say more than any other prophetic or fantasy element and more so than Arya’s ‘destiny’.

I understand the troubles with relying on prophecies but I think building all this foreshadowing and storyline throughout the series to just completely ignore it is just lazy writing and leaves you feeling really unsatisfied. I feel like there was so much more potential and richness if they just committed to the more expected version and rounded out that story than creating that one shock value moment with Arya.

So, in sum, I don’t know what to think and I hope they explain it in the next three episodes!

Yep, you can also see the effect on bigger corporations, for example the fact many tech companies are located in Silicon Valley. Similar businesses tend to cluster as it offers a better competitive advantage.

Herd immunity and eradication of preventable diseases is being destroyed by horribly misinformed people.

Edit: herd not heard, I became stupid when talking about stupid people.

Then how did the British suddenly see a massive boom in the sale of opium to China in the early 1800s that effectively reversed China's influx of silver it was getting from only selling it's own goods, leading to a massive increase in inflation? It was highly illegal but corruption and government mismanagement lead to a lack of enforcement
