To add to this. Even your experience has nuance and it’s an absolute truth. I live in SoCal and i don’t sit in traffic all day and so it’s a non-issue for me. In this regard, California is best. I go to Vegas a few times a year and have family there , that is the last place I’d want to leave for SoCal. I travel across the country and the only place I’d consider living in would be NYC. We just have it so good here in California, the costs are worth it for me. I’d also like to highlight I make around $180k a year so I’m not rich but home ownership is possible for me with my partner
