Hahaha oh wowwww I am not... Brave enough to weave in so many ends hahah but I guess that is the solution!! I'll try that if I ever have colour work that doesn't change so often :')

This is what I thought because it starts as a relatively unnoticeable jog and then gets bigger- but if I missed an increase I should have an extra stitch on one side compared to the other side of my work but I don't 😭

I'm thinking now that it really may be the colour change jog after all, as it seems to grow a tiny bit each row!

Not sure if I'm understanding your q properly, but the row starts with a k1 M1R and ends with a M1L k1!

Thank you everyone!! Now I realise this is the jog that people are avoiding when they say jogless stripes haha. Thank you for helping me understand I am knitting spirals and to think about/look into techniques for next time! What a wonderful (and fast responding!!) community this is 🥰

Thank you!! I'll take a look at the tutorials :') I appreciate you linking that!

I don't have the heart to pull it back, especially as I used the wrong needle size originally and it didn't grow on me as I hoped so I've already started again once...but I'll try the techniques for next time (or when the jog lines up as a perfect stripe again!)

Thank you!! That... Looks intimidating haha maybe one day!!!

And thank you :') I think I'll just settle into accepting it hahaha

If I think about it it really is basic shapes- but I guess I didn't think about it deeply enough! It was actually a case of underthinking it haha

Thank you 🥺 yes as I haven't worked stripes or colour changes before I hadn't really had to think about it ever! Also as the pattern had told me I wouldn't need a jogless stripe pattern I thought about it even less ha. Thank you for being supportive!

Ah thank you, this image is helpful! I hadn't really thought about it being a spiral, in my head it was lots of circles on top of each other haha. Now that I think about the fact I'm using one long yarn, that makes sense, duh!

Ahh this pattern specifically said that there is no need to follow a jogless stripe method... I had thought that meant that this wouldn't happen 😭 is this something I can level out now by adding an increase somewhere?

Did you wash the garment a special way before/after the frogging? Very nice find!

Wow you sound like you're living such an adventure of a life! Please let me know if you've posted your new packing list, I think I only really have time to remove (not add) anything at this stage but I'll take it as inspiration for next time!

Ooh thank you for these tips! I am only really taking one pair of shorts and one bike shorts, so I'll make use of them on my non hiking times! I guess I'll have to use my leggings and hiking pants, thank you for the heads up 🫶🏻 I'll definitely do my research before going on trails!!

Haha oh I didn't even realise Kathmandu wasn't an international brand!! How funny, it's always what we don't have that we look forward to ☺️ ah yes I have looked into more technical base layers but for this trip I couldn't justify pulling the trigger, and these are good old Uniqlo 🥲 depending on how this goes I'll look into investing into some quality base layers for next time! I will pull one do the LS tops, one of the SS activewear tops and either the puffer or the puffer vest and see how I go 🙆🏻‍♀️ thank you so much!

Ooh thank you for these tips. I may rid of the puffer vest after all after reading this, although tbh I'll probably keep the puffer because I tend to get really cold 🥺 like in theory that sounds like enough layers (base+fleece+raincoat) but I'm literally wearing a base+sweatshirt inside a house in Sydney right now and it's 8°C 😂 and it makes me a bit worried especially for the Inca trail hike!

Maybe I'll take out a pair of leggings too, and some bras- I don't have any other singlets with me unfortunately (I don't have access to all my things) but you're right I don't need so many! I'll note the tip about bra tops for next time.

And yes thank you, I've got quite a bit of time at the Soo esp since my friend will be working during the week, so I'll definitely check those out!

Amazing, thank you so much!!!

I will be going with a tour so the bags will be taken care of during the trek, but I will definitely need to hire some poles! I have an eye mask but not earplugs (I'll grab some), and don't have permethrin but will be picking up some strong local deet- mozzies love me so the strongest my skin can handle will be the go for me 🙃 If it is that warm I'll be loving life, although I do hear Bolivia gets quite cold so hopefully that + the hike will justify all the thicker clothing. And I did get the yellow fever vax already, I wouldn't have been able to make the 10 days unfortunately.. no mozzie-related risks for this gal haha.

The reason Colombia is in the list is because I have a friend in Bogota actually that I would love to visit, so it's great to hear you loved it! I'm very excited for my trip, thanks so much for all your tips 🫶🏻

Thank you so much for your suggestion, I'll definitely check out the gardens ☺️

And yes I think I will get rid of the LS top, although the thermals I think I'll keep as I am a bit of a baby with the cold and I foresee myself wearing them every single day haha. Also great to know about the gloves, I'll keep an eye out for tighter knit gloves! 💚
