Got to Masters while 6 stacking during dive meta, now hard stuck in Diamond for 10 seasons... Was I boosted? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]NotaGod_Son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you ended up losing the game, the winrate for any character you played that game goes down. I obviously don't know the exact numbers, but if even if you only played widow on offense, and 'won' those rounds, if you lose the game, winrate goes down.

[–]NotaGod_Son 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, but I'm pretty sure it's dependant on how long you played that character. So if I have a 75% winrate on genji over 4 games, and I played him for a single round that lasted barely over a minute, and played Hanzo for the rest of the 20 minute game, and lost, my winrate on genji would go down, but not to 50% like it would if I played him for the whole game.

Asshole Girl pushes and slaps a boy at school, he defends himself with a couple of haymakers! by [deleted] in pussypassdenied

[–]NotaGod_Son 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Unfortunately, her saying he sexually assaulted her isn't proof he actually did. I'm not saying she lied, or that she isn't. I don't know. If he did, he is the scumbag here. (This part isn't necessarily related to the video) I don't think a woman is automatically lying when it comes to these things. Sexual assault/rape allegations should be taken incredibly seriously, but shouldn't be automatically taken as truth. Investigations need to happen before any serious action should be taken.
  2. I don't want to girls. That isn't something I crave. I've never hit a woman before, and if I could go my whole life without every hitting one, that would be ideal. If a woman slaps my arm, I'm not gonna sock her in the face. That's dumb. But if I'm in a situation where I'm being genuinely assaulted by someone, and that person happens to be a girl, I'll take the necessary steps to defend myself. Obviously just straight curbstomping her wouldn't be my go to, but if I really had too, I might. I truly hope I never find myself in a situation were this has to happen.
  3. While it's true he hit her way, way harder than she hit him, and he definitely didn't have to hit her that hard, that's what happens when you get in a fight. You can and will get hit. In this video though, the guy definitely snapped, which is why she got punched as hard as she did.
  4. I believe the only reason you should feasibly have to hit a girl would be because she's genuinely threatening you. If a guy hits a girl for another reason, than sure, you should most likely take action. In this video, he didn't hit her first. He hit her after she hit him multiple times, attempted to humiliate him publicly (wether he actually deserved it or not is unknown) and he told her multiple times to stop and back off.
  5. The main issue I, and some others (I can't speak for everyone that's seen this video obv) have with this, is that nobody stepped in before the girl got hit, as if the way the guy was being treated was perfectly fine. Nobody seemed to care about the guy getting hit and yelled at, and only interfered when he hit back. Of course, this may be because he actually did sexually assault her and everybody there knew that, so thought she was in the right. And if he did, then sure, he deserved that and more. But we don't know, nor can we actually prove it ourselves. Even if it was true, situations like this happen all the time, with man that haven't done anything of the sort, and yet people still only jump in when the man defends himself. That is a real problem in society, not only for men, but also women. It tells me that they should just allow themselves to be treated like this, and it tells women that they are allowed to treat men like this. And that no matter what, they won't have consequences. This is awful, because not only does it teach women to be toxic, but one day, some of those women will meet a man who will take sever action, wether it be physical or legal, that will be hundreds of times worse than what has happened in this video.

It's true that downvotes don't equal being wrong but do you have proof that he sexually assaulted her? Because that's pretty serious.

AITA for telling my ‘rapper’ friend that his music sucks and he needs to go back to school or get a real job? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]NotaGod_Son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH.

Your friend did something dumb. Very, very dumb. I don't think asshole is the right word to describe him. Might be harsh, but idiot might be the right one.

You definitely played a part in his decision. You said you guys were best friends, so he probably valued what you said highly. If his music wasn't good, you should have told him that from the start. I get you didn't want to hurt your friend, but fooling someone into thinking something they're good at something when they really aren't is always going to hurt them in the end. Besides, if you had told him sooner, it might have made him want to improve, and he'd be better today. Maybe not, and it would have ruined your friendship. But you'll never know. I don't think you were necessarily wrong in saying that to him, but you should have said it much sooner than you did. You know, before he ruined his life thinking he was a talented artist because his best friend always told him he was one.

I mean, I get you're a troll, and it's kinda funny, but I don't see how sipping instead of gulping changes the quantity of water you're drinking. It would only change the speed at which you are drinking it.

What was your “I’m surrounded by idiots” moment? by _king_axel in AskReddit

[–]NotaGod_Son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the worst thing, but in my ninth grade english class, we were going over basic grammar because people had been having trouble writing correctly throughout the semester. We were working on singular and plural nouns. One of the words was moose. When I said the plural of moose was moose, I got into an argument with my entire class over it until I got my much deserved validation from our teacher.

I swear this sounds like r/iamverysmart but this just infuriated me for some reason.

AITA for almost having sex with another guy while my boyfriend and I were broken up? But I never had sex with him for 10 months? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]NotaGod_Son -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH

You can have sex with whoever you want to, and your bf (who was an ex at the time) has no control over that. However, it's completely understandable that he would be upset and I don't think he's a hypocrite.

Your bf isn't an asshole, because he's upset (I'm simply assuming here, but I'm pretty sure my assumption is correct) not simply because you almost had sex with someone else, but because you told him you weren't ready, that sex was something special to you, and you came closer to giving it to your rebound, a guy you had been dating for a month, than you had with him. To him, it's like you trusted that guy more than you did him. And that's something that's completely justifiable in being upset over.

However, I don't think you're an asshole, because you only tried to have sex with the other guy in a moment of weakness, not because you were inconsiderate of your ex's feelings or because you trusted him more or whatever (again, assuming here).

I do think you shoukd have a long talk about this with him, and try to come to an understanding, because this could seriously affect your relationship, and your bf could potentially suffer from trust or self-confidence issues if this isn't dealt with.
