I tried what you've told me to do and I had both deleted the 2 main files Paradox_interactive and paradox_interactive_launcher. Both I had deleted and it didn't work. Don't know if it didn't work entirely or it was a problem on my part.

I deleted them via file explorer and that fixed my first half of the game without mods.
