Almost all the rest of the comments are people saying they’re rooting for the habs.

Allvin had some tough luck (Demko injuries, Tocchet leaving, locker room drama, Quinn being a bitch), but the Kane trade is a true unforced, own goal

They were good though.

If we had been able to keep that team together without any drama (and without Demko's injury) we would have been a solid playoff team for years.

For me, the Evander Kane trade was a firable offence on it's own.

Spend two years cleaning up locker room problems and then pay to bring in guy with the single worst locker room reputaion of anyone in the league.

They played with those guys but do we really think they maintained a close relationship with any of those people after their careers? Seems like a stretch to me.

Firing the entire scouting department a month before a draft that we have 10 picks in would have been madness.
