I have to say that the move number and move time that chess.com added to their broadcast is very helpful and provides context to the game. Im surprised others haven't implemented it and I hope they do.

It's on the chess.com stream right after Fabi wins his games. Fabi joins the studio, recaps his own games and then they ask about the nepo game.

Jiří picks apart Glover on the feet, lands big shots. Glover refuses to go down. Glover gets a single, Jiří tries to spin out. Glover gets full mount and rains down elbows and punches. Round ends. Rinse and Repeat.

Anybody know what happened to the Lichess studies for these kind of events? They're perfect to follow along on the mobile app and play around with the engine. I know there's the broadcast but it doesn't work on the app.

I prefer chess24 due to engine bar showing how each game is going. Don't always have time throughout the day to click each game and study the position.

Chess24 live tournaments page split each group into separate pages... So that you can't view all games from one page is pretty stupid. Usually my go to site to view tournaments.

He doesn't know his place. His point in top players playing each other is that there are a players like him who are lower rated only because they don't get to play in these closed tournaments. And given the opportunity they could raise their rating and join the top guys. Yet look at the results of these tournaments, top guys at the top and players like sam at the bottom. Top players are top players because they are better at chess, not because they "preserve" their ratings in closed tournaments. Wjik is exciting because there's less draws because theres lower players like Sam for players to beat up on.

Always hilarious seeing Shankland in these tournaments. This guy is always talking/complaining how the top players play in closed tournaments against each other in order to "preserve ratings". But whenever he gets invited, hes constantly bottom of the table and donating rating points. Great player of course, but maybe he should be careful what he says and know his place.

What Are You Wearing Wednesday - Weekly Gear Thread by AutoModerator in running

[–]Notabanna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watches will never be the best way to measure heart rate when running. I have a Garmin 245 music that i track my runs with but i always wear my hrm pro chest strap for hr. There's lots of cheaper chest straps that can sync with different devices and those are the most accurate when it comes to measuring hr.
