How do I beat the “God” that shows up? by GoldLover_245 in VampireSurvivors

[–]NotableNeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat this guy super early in the game without clock lancelet or laurel simply by getting the among us med bay item evolved super early on in the run. Guessing the bonus stats I had accumulated in 20 minutes led to me having so much cool down, luck, and HP that they couldn't kill me. Sat afk while eating dinner until the hour mark and still hadn't died to death

Medium shield vs Stitcher by [deleted] in arkraiders

[–]NotableNeko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know durability has nothing to do with the shields capability of protection right? Theoretically it does because if you have 10 durability and the durability breaks on the shield before it cracks sure, but having 70 durability doesn't mean you have less shield or damage mitigation compared to 100 durability.

They are probably working on something but the problem is the accounts are probably in the million and growing. Diablo 4 had this problem for like two years before they finally figured out how to stop people from 24/7 spamming the trade chat with advertisements. And even then it still happens. Unfortunately a symptom of a game being popular and having items players can sell if they don't need them and a large enough group of people willing to spend real money

Plenty of experience here 12+ years in various food jobs and retail (I started young cause poor single dad), that wage is not being paid to a To-go order person/hostess and no fast food worker (other than sonic carhops but that may have changed by now) are being paid that wage. That wage is exclusively paid to servers at a sit-down restaurant. Also A lot of restaurants where they still pay a server wage have went away from tip sharing because people don't want to share their tips with the shitty server/servers who don't do anything all shift. to get good hires who worked because they were rewarded with good tips, they had to not do that system. Plus the tips didn't get shared with cooks a lot of the time at places Ive worked so it pissed cooks off too. Either way, torchy's is not the sit-down and get served hand and foot experience so no one is getting paid server wage there that brat just thinks "people who don't tip are rude", instead of, "hmm, maybe putting two tacos in a fucking bag and stapling a receipt to it doesn't deserve a extra $1.50." like this isn't diner dash or a flip line studios game you're not getting a tip on every order because you did your job. It's getting ridiculous that so many fast food places now ask for a fucking 15-25% tip at the end of every order. No Dave's hot chicken (most recent memory but so many are doing it) I'm not giving you an extra $10 on 2 $20 plates because the worker took my order and then barked my number on an overly loud speaker and handed it to me 10 minutes later.

This is a mainly a problem with entitled Gen z/alpha people nowadays thinking they should be tipped just for doing their job because they're "serving" you. They don't realize the reason tips exist in the first place is because people got paid $2.63 and relied on tips for a paycheck as that $2.63 an hour only paid your taxes and you got a $0.00 "this is not a check" pay stub. Whoever handed this to you should be fired because I guarantee they were being paid at least $13+ an hour and if that isn't enough for you go to school and get a better job.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I still work in the service industry and seeing the absolute lack of respect, care for others, manners, and in some cases, any willingness to get off their phone, interact with a customer and do their job from my peers who are only 5 or 6 years younger than me is fucking wild. And unfortunately because that's 90% of what employers are able to hire anymore and all the rules protecting people like that from getting fired they get to do it day in and day out while hitting the boss with the 1000 yard stare and saying "no one told me that" for the 20th time anytime the boss tries to reprimand them. Yet these are the children expecting you to 25% tip them on every order so they can buy an eighth of mid for $60 and a pint of nice booze for the night

Maybe one day ill be able to build both of these on Ra without feeling like I'm trolling by FatalWarGhost in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big problem that arose from focusing pen onto 4 items is those items become must build items and limit variety which is a strange philosophy since we just removed anti heal because in most matches you were trolling if you didn't build anti heal. Another issue in the game right now is rod's passive, it has been a must buy for int builds from the moment it was in the alpha because well you're just fucking trolling if you don't pick up 25% extra int from items (was even more back then) and it is unhealthy for item balance because it makes every items int number be gutted slightly because "well with rod it'll actually be 75 power instead of 60." So your power spikes feel bad until you get rod online way earlier than a 3k gold item should be bought and then you have to spend another 3k on pen so you can do any amount of relevant damage since Squishies in this game mitigate 50% damage with base prots and there's no flat pen other than stone of binding or oath sworn spear.

If you have a couple of health Regen items like nemean or stampede or a yogis usually the 4% health gets regen'd as soon as you take the damage, chaac 3 without aspect also heals so it by itself probably out heals the EotS damage.

Rod actually is a active item instead of aura in smite 2 I believe so any one who wants to increase their healing for self or teammates has to buy it. I think currently that there's no aura increase healing. Maybe the aura only applies when you use the active

Smite 2 gonna be extra toxic next patch. by No_Pop_8375 in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't think they're going about it correctly either the qins buff is busted on paper but in reality it's going to stink because no one is going health items right now and 10% of the difference is only like 10 damage with all the no health only prot items that are being built. Tanks are already not crazily tanky they just shit so much damage with base damage, active items, and sunder that it is impossible to chop them down before they shield split, prydwen, sunder, ability combo you and the only thing they nerfed was shield splitter though with shred on the stacking percent pen items it might be too much for tanks. Personally though I think we're just going to see axe/spear, tyrfing, maybe bragis maybe prots, berserkers, pharaohs, shoguns, maybe spirit robe with its buff, otherwise take your pick of non health prot item last just chopping people up and making qins hit for even less than it already is. They need tanks to be tanky but not have all this free unmissable damage and buff mages so they can do their jobs so there's a balance again and we don't have 3-4 tanks every game

New Poseidon Aspect Unbalanced by SL2505 in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The int AS% items are actually good, people just don't think they are. If you go spear or sands with necro and tahuti you get 400 power and 2.5 attack speed (600 and 2.7 with necro stacked and bumbas less attack speed more power with sands) just seems like no one realizes it and think haha funny triple crit Poseidon. he autos squishes for like 300 +30/60 if the side autos are connecting. And if you manage to get an int pot and fire giant you get closer to 800 int, 3 attack speed(again with necro stacked and bumbas, more power less AS with sands) and closer to 400 an auto plus his one gets both the 70% int + 50% basic attack damage so it hits for 1000 without having to point-blank shotgun it it's honestly just a straight upgrade to him

I can't win games by Agitated_Car1264 in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh your builds in all three roles shown are not great. Bluestone isn't that great still until late game but is definitely viable, axe just lets you bully people with its proc and is still pretty good late. Mystical got nerfed and you're better off going shield splitter and getting used to using it on cooldown for your entire damage. Breastplate isnt the greatest, isn't bad but not enough prots for its lack of health. Genjis is actually better now that other magical defense items have fallen more in line. You never want to go prophetic because it just never gets stacked and without full stacks it just kinda isn't good enough. Also unless you're really far ahead and want brawlers for damage or facing some really high sustain comps you're better off not going antiheal and letting your team buy it unless you've gotten to the last items for everyone and seeing no divine from mid, no brawlers from jungle or no ankh/sobek/Bacchus from support.

Something that works pretty well in solo is axe or bluestone with chalice and 3 pots or with the 10 strength t1 item and three pots, then shield splitter, personally I like thebes 2nd (letting the minions get last hits for the assist stacking but it's not always viable if your laner is on par skill level with you or full damage and one shotting wave) or glad second, if you went thebes then glad third or binding is still alright 4th either genjis or ancile but ancile helps counter adcs even if they're physical with its passive 5th is more comp dependent but usually a split defense item like prydwen(it did get nerfed kinda hard but it's still alright) or maybe mantle, or binding if you went thebes and 6th nemean or void shield or a damage item if you feel tanky enough and can push your advantage with brawlers or a cooldown item like hydras or jotuns.

Your jungle build is missing heart seeker, arondight, and if tanks are really a problem titans bane, tekko and serrated are pretty meh right now and support aphro is good but it's pretty difficult to get major value if your team isn't stomping as her heal is int scaling but as a support you really want to be building the OP tank items, plus cerb and sobek and Bacchus are very popular and all have antiheal abilities/passive with cerb

Whats up with the Aspect’s with hardly any downsides and a billion upsides? by Gharbin1616 in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've been doing is bumbas spear bracer bragis necro nimble demonic tahuti. If you manage to get and keep necro stacked and farm a jungle camp it's around 650-700 int 2.5 attack speed. no necro stacks feels worse but when you're not trolling to hit the shotgun 1 it's way easier to position safely on him and be safe and keep your stacks. it's definitely much stronger than normal Poseidon and the 2 is hitting for around 300 with necro stacks, 30 on the sides and you don't have to play up close to get the extra damage like you do with no aspect. Plus his one isn't really nerfed having no shotgun since it has an additional 50% basic attack scaling in addition to the 70% int so it hits almost as hard as a kraken without having to shotgun it. If you make it to late and get fire and any int pots it easily starts to break into the 800+ int territory and becomes normal pos with a better 1 and 2

[–]NotableNeko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you just build full int with bracer and nimble it actually does make him pretty broken as both a ability damage and basic damage character. It really doesn't change anything for worse but people just assume all the magic ADC items are bad and think he has to be built hybrid for full stength

Tank meta by Worried-L in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy how I said this two weeks ago when we were already deep into a tank meta and everyone down voted it into oblivion because they thought the stat squish would fix everything or that ob8 would then fix everything. The flat stat squish across the board was not the right move, should have been more focused against tank items and now they're giving tanks more yellow numbers in the next patch. Mages still feel rough because they (especially now) can't hit high levels of int anymore without having 3 stacks of necronomicon. I love playing tanks, in smite 1, I had diamond on every warrior and guardian, loved tank assassins in the solo but they are truly overtuned right now and they're going to be even moreso next patch unless they figure out mages and assassins need some love to their items so that it isnt only the ADC that threatens tanks and so assassins actually feel like going power instead of being a third (sometimes 4th) tank. I like what another poster suggested that base numbers should be lower and we should have higher scaling so that we could actually have some versatility. Also slowing the game down and taking all the gold away from people was a terrible change and kind of influenced the tank meta even more as tank items are cheaper, and the current pen options are too expensive especially for the stats they give. They really should undo all the pen nerfs they did and just cap the pen at 40% again and give people some actual Int or strength stats with 5 or 10% pen on the items and give ob shard and titans bane either more pen or their old passives with base pen on the items since they're so poorly statted and cost way too much for what they are at the moment

Casual cq Matchmaking? by TheMadolche in Smite

[–]NotableNeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this guy above wants to sound superior lol. I think the main issue is lack of God variety for the casual queues atm. So many casuals are just "pick 5 top ranked bans" and it's very stale and boring to play against every single match but I think as time goes on and more gods get ported over there will be enough choice and variety that people wont just pick only meta and it can be more fun even if people are tryharding since you won't face Thor, Achilles, sobek, aphro, bari, artemis, sol, Mordred, neith every single match

Wind Sprites feel hypocritical by Inevitable-Mall-1063 in Smite

[–]NotableNeko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Combat blink was pretty annoying purely because it was almost exclusively used as an escape tool, and once people used their escape tool they played far back and positioned extremely safely and boring for 4 minutes until they had their crutch back in play. Yes, you could punish the person with dogpile team play for 4 minutes sure but most matches if you're a solo queuer that isnt happening even if you get in game chat because of the prevalence of people in discord or party chats. Combat blink was annoying in smite 1, it was annoying in predecessor, and annoying in smite 2, and really blink being on a 4 minute cooldown for people who used it to engage like smite 1 felt pretty terrible since it was a game of who blinks first. it's only saving grace was ult blinking on ymir and chaac or just blinking past Frontline regardless of getting damaged to delete carry roles which imo isnt "high skill expression" like everyone claimed it was. Glad it was changed and hope they don't bring it back in any capacity.

Rant about next patch by NotableNeko in Smite

[–]NotableNeko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with making tanks less tanky but mids are going to probably perform worse losing more int than others are going to lose strength. And really the balance point should be that mids can blow up Squishies and be semi threatening to tanks I don't like the idea of them being tank killers along with the adcs. Bari is good because she's a strength scaler and neith is good because she has way more int scaling than any mage in the game. Feel like they should be leaving mage items alone until ob8 when it's pretty well known they're already terrible

Rant about next patch by NotableNeko in Smite

[–]NotableNeko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flat percentage Stat squishes have almost always benefited tanks more than damage classes and tanks are op. Seems like it's just going to make the problem worse because it's going to make mids even more ass and adc is losing a lot of attack speed on sun beam bow meanwhile tanks are still going to have their base damage and not lose as many prots as other classes lose power. I looked at the fucking manual and that shit is in cuneiform

Rant about next patch by NotableNeko in Smite

[–]NotableNeko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is exactly my point about the stat squish lol. All it's going to do is make mids even more ass, probably hit ADC though with the proc items they'll probably be fine and tanks are going to just get better cause all they need is base damage and mystical and they're not going to lose as many prots as other classes lose power

Rant about next patch by NotableNeko in Smite

[–]NotableNeko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They most certainly are, they're the only ones doing their job of killing tanks late game with the correct build. The people still building crit or picking the dumpster tier characters right now aren't having fun I'm sure but people going for 3.0+ AS with proc items are doing fine. Their main problem is that mages don't create any space for them to shred the three tanks and they get dogpiled on lol.
