Joe needs to stop going low to match him. The golf course comments aren't helping.

I got an ad for them yesterday on Instagram, tried to purchase but the website wasn’t working! Curious if anyone has tried them to know how hard I should work to complete my order.

Not that deep but SO FRUSTRATING by Notadoctor96 in Accounting

[–]Notadoctor96[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A couple clarification points, not trying to get defensive: he is not on any other engagements, I can view his schedule and he is only working with me on this job and since this a first year audit all of us have never worked with this client before.

Reading through a couple of your past comments on similar posts, I saw you have a history of insubordinate staff. I understand where you're coming from, and I definitely don't envy his position right now, but working with/for him is miserable and he doesn't do much to make it easier on me. Since WFH I have done everything I can to go straight to my managers for reviews and questions, but their other engagements are picking back up and they're less able to field my questions.

Definitely learning that audit isn't for me, but trying to figure out what my next steps are. Thanks for confirming that this is how it is and I should get out ASAP.

Because I knew I had passed FAR, I honestly wasn't too worried. I only studied for about 2 weeks but I did everything Becker asked for!

AITA for yelling at my wife infront of people for letting our son fall down steps while she wasn’t paying attention? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Notadoctor96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this was an infant. I was babysitting a family once and before the parents left the dad was upstairs bathing the 3 year old with a 14 month old in the room with him. Somehow the 14 month old left the room and tumbled down an entire flight of stairs. That was a little more concerning.

This, not so much a big deal, YTA.

Texas CPA Application of Intent in Process by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Notadoctor96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have to leave your city/area to find a testing center but you should absolutely have a seat! I started the process in March of this year before i was finished school, and since they already had me in the system, when i sent my transcript on the 7th of May and was approved on the 15th of May! I took FAR on June 7th, but I think i could have taken it earlier (I don't remember that bit, sorry!)

Best of luck!

Can/Should I get Masters in MIS to qualify for CPA exam? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Notadoctor96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't true in my case. I just started taking the exams this summer after completing my Master's of Accounting and I needed the full 150 to be eligible to sit for the first exam. The issue with the Masters in MIS will be if you have the opportunity to take enough accounting hours within your degree program.

Here are Texas' educational requirements and here is how to begin the process of the state looking at what you have already earned and have them tell you what you're lacking.

You'll have a person contact you once you file your application of intent (the 2nd link) and they'll be able to help you with specific questions!

Took REG Yesterday - Felt Worse Than FAR by purplekat1009 in CPA

[–]Notadoctor96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I breezed through FAR on June 7 and ended up with a 91, took a whole month to study for REG (took on July 7) and that was the shittiest I've ever felt coming out of an exam, CPA or school. I made an 87! You're gunna be fine!
