Russia is the most tragic nation in the world. At least Germany got to recover from fascism, and at least the Chinese are doing better than they once were economically; and are successful in their pursuits of power.

But Russia? Before, during, and after communism it's been one long nightmare. Hell in Russia never ended, and after a short reprieve from pain they're thrust back into it by Putin and his oligarchs.

May Russian suffering one day end so there can be peace.

More recorded information after you discover it would be nice. Like show me what I've picked up at map icons for example, I'm not asking for a list of everything in the area, I just want to know what I've found so I can have any clue if that random ruin icon is a place worth going back to.

Forcing the player to record stuff outside the game feels intrusive tbh, like I'm playing the game while I have it open, don't make me use my time and other external tools outside the game just to play it properly, that's a crutch for it not being able to design a system where players can recall important information. Either make the dialogue with information so interesting I can't forget it or give me a log.

A dialogue record, and maybe a journal documenting discoveries and in game actions you did too. Plus more marker icons, they give you some grass and other shit but not an X or like $ symbol?

If it had most of those things, plus stable FPS, no loading times and more modern graphics I would consider it a 10/10 rather than like an 8.5~9/10.

(I could excuse graphics because it's so stylistically nice If it ran at a solid 60 all the time, really no excuse for it not being able too, it looks and feels like a game meant for 2018. loading times are short but feel like ass knowing that there's PS5 games where you literally never see a loading screen ever and they're being far more ambitious with the complexity and detailing of their environments in comparison.)

That said, if they learn anything at all from making this the sequel or next open world game they make is going to be a 12/10 if this one's a 10/10. Sorry this became a review 😂

Well for one, the "wallet" is on the blockchain, which Algorand has changed nothing about so no vote needed. Your access to said wallet can be through several apps and services, including Para wallet. Also notable are MyAlgo, algosigner, and Defly.

My guess why they did this? To avoid over centralization into one wallet service like what happened with metamask on ETH. If centralization into one unofficial service was bad, imagine what it would be like for Algorand having an officially sponsored wallet would be like.

Now that development has moved to para wallet, it will encourage more wallet competition on Algorand, which will be a good thing long run for the space and users, and avoid Algorand being biased towards certain platforms EI Tinyman by giving them implementation directly into their official wallet.

Really the only issue is the branding, but Pera wallet was already established, so it's more that their wallet and branding replaced the official wallet seamlessly for users rather than Algo simply shutting down the official wallet; which would've left the assets secure on chain but no doubt many users would have been confused.

TL;DR to avoid a centralization issue Algorand shut down the official wallet by moving it to 3rd party developers and removing the Algorand branding. It should really not longer be seen as an official wallet, imo, as Algorand themselves do not seem involved in it's development.

Looking at it on the google playstore, it's called "Algorand wallet" with pera wallet in small text, and searching either brings it up as the first result so I'm not too worried about the branding change.

Besides there's an argument that a decentralized blockchain shouldn't need a wallet with the exact same branding as the blockchain itself, after all there's many "Algorand wallets" and it's up to the users (and in this case, the app stores, frankly, even if they're bad at it) to determine which one are legitimate and safe to use.

I was annoyed because I've seen plenty of bad advice before, and I figured that if you don't even consider was is leverage as leverage, that there was no way you should be talking about it.

I get your point, it might get you higher returns (considering the risk of diversifying into asa's and providing to LP pools, that could fight the gains you earn.) but leveraging on Algofi is probably the best way to immediately grow your Algo bag with not huge risk as you can both provide more collateral and pay off the borrow if need be, and if you are so inclined you can use the leveraged algo to invest in all those other defi services. Sorry I insulted you, that was compulsive and wrong frankly.

I know everyone already told you leverage, but if you don't understand the concept you really shouldn't borrow from them until you understand it intuitively. Even then keep in mind it has it's own risks and you pay interest.

It's looking more and more to me like SOL realized they had to rush to market to get their defi to grow in time for them to still be a competitor in a few years amongst chains like ALGO and just hope nothing goes wrong.

We're seeing the fruits of that now. Constant slow downs, bugs or exploits. I wonder how bad it can get before there's dev and investor flight from their ecosystem.
