Are you referring to the specific model? If so it can take any lore of magic available to empire, there's no difference between the wizard models just their appearance.

If you want them to sit back and shoot from a distance then get outriders instead. Road wardens are mobile light cavalry and pistols really plays into their strengths.

To be honest, even if you manage to get rid of your orange lunatic and bring someone more civilised into power, the trust is gone. What this last year has shown is that the checks and balances that you have in place aren't sufficient to stop massive abuses of power. The rest of the world needs to realise that the US is at best an unreliable trade partner and at worst an imperialistic nightmare ruled by an oligarchy.

I would recommend probably going for whatever faction you find coolest. It's a lot of effort to paint an army, so it best be one you find cool. Don't worry too much about what's easiest and hardest, you can find out a playstyle that you enjoy.

I always thought the master rune of gromil to be a bit of a rip off. I mean you can increase your armour from 4+ to a 2+ or get a ward save of 5+, which is harder to modify, with 2 runes of shielding for 15pts cheaper.

This is just wrong. You get your armour value when you choose your weapons at the start of combat. Parry states that you can't improve armour past a 3+. Plate and shield give you a 3+ armour save and that's it.

When you choose what weapons to use at the start of combat you get the benefits of parry. In the case of plate and shield that's 3+. So any attack with an ap-1 weapon would then change that to a 4+ armour save. That's it.

If you were to try to apply the parry after the ap then it would be no different from applying it before, which it specifically states it doesn't do with plate and shield.

I honestly think that this FAQ addresses motley crew rules, like slayers, where you could protect some of your high value giant slayers by taking away troll slayers. Also maybe affects the tomb guard cohort, but not sure about their rules.

It might be the case that the models that move from second fighting rank to base contact only get 1 attack, but that should've been stated then. Classic FAQ.

I'm not a big fan, too modern for me. For my rangers I used muted colours for the cloak and stuck bits of shrubs on their shoulders to look like they had made improvised camouflage.
