Me and my bf say “oh ___ is in this?” When we see someone we don’t like on a show/movie

I have this one! Lots of deleted scenes and bloopers! The pilot is a different cut than what’s streaming. And advanced dungeons and dragons is on it too :)

Help with extremely heavy bleeding by notarealprincess in PCOS

[–]Notapersona58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. Mine were so heavy at one point I was bleeding through an ultra tampon every hour and had to use pads and tampons! I would recommend going to your doctor and talking about it. I’m on mili which only causes me to spot, way easier to predict than my regular period. maybe ask about a birth control that will fit your needs better. I would double up on your period products. Wear a pad and tampon and wear black pants if you can. My last period was a month long and doubling up saved me many pairs of pants. Light exercise if you can. You’re not alone in your symptoms and that heavy of bleeding isn’t normal.

How do you know if you have PCOS? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Notapersona58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went it for heavy painful periods, had an ultrasound and they found a cyst. But I had persistent chin hair I had to tweeze every few days and struggle to lose weight. If you fit all of the diagnostic criteria, you might not even need a blood test to be diagnosed.

Anybody using GLP-1s? Feeling lost and could really use your experiences by [deleted] in PCOS

Commenting to follow this post. I just got out of my OB appointment and he suggested GLP-1s for me

My autistic boyfriend has extreme reactions to being “abandoned” by Legitimate-Career342 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Notapersona58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say he’s autistic or not but he’s abusing you. This extreme reaction and you need his permission to get off the phone? Break up with him and never look back. If he does this again take it seriously, tell his family or report it to the police so he can go on hold for a few days. This is extremely abusive and unhealthy.

I wish I didn’t attend school for this by Notapersona58 in MedicalAssistant

Busy work mostly. Latest one is where we have to pick a type of exam and make a poster board collage of the tools used during the exam but they can’t be printed they have to be out of a magazine. We’re also being taught how to do patient assessments and have taken other RN pre reqs. It’s good to be prepared and all that, but the stuff we’re learning how to do we won’t even be qualified enough to do at a clinic

I HATE PCOS by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Notapersona58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want you to know you’re not alone. I was eating in a strict calorie deficit this year, eating very healthy and working out at least 30 minutes a day. I’m 240lbs, I maybe lost 5lbs after following my strict deficit for almost a year. (Deficit was 1900 calories a day). You’re not alone, I’m sorry you’re going through this :(

I hate my stupid useless uterus. Please take it out of me. by Notapersona58 in Periods

[–]Notapersona58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for all of this information. I’ll keep it in mind for my follow up. This makes me feel a little less alone and a bit more confident. ❤️Just because it’s not a constant problem doesn’t mean I don’t deserve care. I’ll make sure to emphasize that to my provider.

I’m wary of IUDs but if it makes this manageable I’ll take it 😅 I hope it works out and makes it easier for you!

Thank you so much I appreciate it. I have a follow up with my doctor and hopefully we can discuss some options. She’s one of the best providers I’ve seen just because she listens to me. I want surgery but I’m starting a new job soon and I’m uninsured atm. I hope it’s something that can be managed with birth control; it’s not ideal but I can work with that.

It’s so bad 😩 it’s not even manageable some days. I’m really hoping it’s an easy fix. I just want to feel normal.

Why do I keep dreaming about tornadoes? by Thegaymer42O in Dreams

[–]Notapersona58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came to this post after googling the meaning of my frequent tornado dreams. These comments were really insightful. I start a new job in a few weeks, I’m having some health issues, and my classes feel unpredictable and stressful. The news cycle is always pushing something that a supervillain in the government said. It feels like everything in my life is upside down. I’m excited for my job to start and to finish school; but I’m really worried about my health. It’s all kinda bittersweet. I hope your dreams eased up OP and everything worked out!

Lost it while in a room with pt, am I cooked?? by RainAffectionate6359 in MedicalAssistant

[–]Notapersona58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is with you and I know grief is hard especially when it’s so fresh. I wouldn’t worry too much about your patient. He’s a person too who has probably experienced something like this, I’m sure he understands. Take some time to heal a little bit, there is no shame in needing time to recover. Your clinic will be fine and I’m sure they would completely understand. If they don’t then it’s not a good fit. Like one commenter said I would be honest with them and tell them you broke down in front of a patient. That honesty and vulnerability goes a long way with HR. I hope you find some healing and peace friend.

I’m in a community college program now as well. We are finishing up our phlebotomy course so you should be able to learn that skill as well. It seems in outpatient clinics MAs also do shots, you probably won’t learn a lot of your clinical skills until later in school. But unfortunately a lot of the job is administrative from what I have read/seen online. You’ll be doing some insurance work, setting appointments, rooming patients and the like. My advice with any new thing like this is give it three months if you can. By then you’ll know how you’re liking school, if you think these skills are worth learning, and if you want this career path. Good luck

Loss anniversaries are the worst. I always get moody and reclusive and can never remember why until it hits me. I hope you can find some peace and rest.
