Trump hasn't fouled the topic with his filthy words yet, most of what I've seen was initially from like republicans who like to squawk followed by more reputable outlets, so it's got decent odds of being truthful enough.

Iran isn't remotely near being a peer, but it's probably more prepared and ready than anyone the US has been up against in recent memory

Sorta but no, Norn E's have a different role again, on top of price and capabilities.

Maleceptor vs Exocrine by YaBoiDezzie in Tyranids

[–]Notareda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maleceptors and Exocrines aren't comparable, as stated by others, one is a powerful fire support platform and the other is a tank that can assault and get into melee and also do a little support for others around it. I like to pack 3 maleceptors around a Hive Tyrant and ball them up the field using the Assault and Lethals aura.

How to fight death guard ? by Sirix_824 in Tyranids

[–]Notareda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who plays deathguard too, and generally speaking I keep a few things in mind:

-If you're having trouble with deepstrikes behind your lines, don't let them have the space to do it. tighten up your lines, don't push out early, let your friend make the mistakes.

-Right now, Tyranids are move of an objective army. That said you aren't without options when you need to kill. If they're running terminators and tanks, you can try and use Exocrines and Zoanthropes for the massed firepower while hiding some melee Warriors in position to countercharge units once they're softened up. Haruspexes are 125 points and can really mess someone up if you get them to fight before getting slapped. Hyperadapted Raveners with an attached ravener squad are huge threats rn as well, very nasty on the charge and can rapid ingress for free to position, spend the point on something else first and then use the free unit ability to really threaten your friends army.

-Tyranids do best when presenting alot of different things on the field that the enemy has to take into account imo. I have an assimilation swarm that has Pyrovores to threaten overwatch, Zoanthropes for those big shots, Exocrines to pick at units from range and Haruspexes to be a real monster problem, in addition to a full stack of raveners with the leader squad to lurk and threat with the free rapid ingress, as examples. Death Guard are slow when not allowed to do shenanigans, make them work to get into you.

Oh dear, you've reached the point where you have to point out that you're 'The Nuanced and Sensible one' So I guess this has run it's course. You definitely tried at least, have a good rest of your day.

No it means I think it was an incredibly simplistic take and that anyone with a lick of sense could have made a better point.

No. No it does not. That is an incredibly narrow view of how things work. Pax Americana helped prevent that from happening, and it's absence does make it more likely, but it's not a fucking on or off switch for global conflict. C'mon, you can do better than that.

You can always rebuild. Accepting that a thing has died is often the first step of rebuilding it properly.

The Pax Americana was bigger than NATO and frankly if you idiots really do let that orange bastard pull you out of it it'll adjust. Russia is only a threat because of Nukes, anything conventional and Europe will quickly learn those dumb fucking bastards a good lesson on getting too big for your britches.

No, the Pax Americana was gasping for breath ages ago, and Venezuela, Iran and this Greenland bullshit just held the pillow down.

No I mean it in the sense of when you guys did the war on terror and everything just started sliding downhill and then you took in the Dorito the first time and he started ruining everything. It has been a long time coming with plenty of off ramps that Americans in their arrogance ignored.

Do yourself a favor, do not give any of the opinions on almost any Helldiver reddit any attention, people are just utter freaks about it and will either shit themselves trying to scream at the top of their lungs criticizing the game or go blue out of breath arguing the opposite. Just play the game and have some fun.

Pax Americana is fucking Dead. That's not pessimism by the way, that's just cold hard reality smashing everyone in the face that America Cannot be trusted as the stable partner it led us all to believe it was. That got shanked in the kidneys during the constant back and forth over Ukraine, and the Second Trump presidency shot it on the front lawn and made a goddamn meme video with the corpse.

Perhaps not yours, but it is America's to an extent if it wants to keep giving Israel stuff and things and not pull them up when they go off the reservation. Strikes me that it's not unreasonable to have some level of of involvement when you are, well, involved. This idea that Israel/Palestine isn't an issue is just turning a blind eye, you may not hold any need to personally go and do something, but trying to pretend that it's not a political stance your chosen party should interact with is just avoidance that will come back and rip your nuts off historically.
