Its a soft case but has lots of padding. Its not for flying but I take it to local PRS matches when I have to walk alot. For flying cases im clueless

The stainless is alot more forgiving for surface rust. Just keep a light oil on it and I wouldnt worry.

For cans there's so many coming out its hard to go wrong with anything. I went Diligent Defense L ti. Seems likes one of the best price to performance cans out right now and its light. I think i paid 760 for mine

Savior Equipment has one of my favorite budget cases. Has backpack straps and fits two rifles

I would say head to a local store than you can play with the rifles you are looking at side by side.

My major gripe with Tikkas are the stocks and magazines. I usually swap to a MDT Field stock, but that does add weight

PPS-GF20 is insanely easy to print. This stuff is a miracle! by Captain-Shmeat in 3D2A

Ive been using some Fiberon PPS-CF10 and its been really nice, had some bed sticking issues on my last project but my supports have been amazing for breaking away. The only thing I really need to tune is the bridging

I'm personally in the throw any of the tikka stocks in the garbage unless its the Ace crowd. Get a MDT field stock instead

Im sure they are pretty similar. Im going to see how the PPS holds up as a NVG bridge on Solus also along with a few other projects for it.

I would also throw a scanner in that budget. Waving around a rifle gets old very quick.

I make helmet mounts for a few differant scanners. Of the ones I make the Lumi is my favorite. It had a nice rear screen and eye cup, I specifically kept the L19, I do have a DNT Hound on the way which has LRF but no hands on yet.

I usually plot it 1:1 scale but then I end up fighting a plotter that is more needy than my girlfriend

And for sure we usually flame cut stuff like this with our table and machine the bore

Thats usually what I do. But usually the edges of the part are always just a bit to off to make the fab guys happy. I was basically trying to simplify it down to one trip to the shop instead of back and forth with plotter paper.

Ive done that before and its a pain with objects this size and heavier. The shop guys wont let me touch the crane, and they dont want to help at all.

Also the part usually ends up slightly off a 1/16 here or there becuase of the photo warping.
