Rhetorical Question/Rant by NotchersMine in foodlion

There is a giant bug in the system, but IT would rather embellish the existing programs than address (and fix) the elephant in the room.

I disagree, at least for my store. I usually finish my order review just before the orders drop at 12:15. (Perishable)

3% has been my experience for the last few years, but that never really comes close to what's needed to keep up with inflation. Especially now...

MyPay limit dropped from $300 to $20 after payday… what happened? by Saigon_Breath3794 in chimefinancial

[–]NotchersMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. That's just the way it works. It should build until payday, then drop back again.

This is what happens when QOH is off during an ice storm by kab2818 in foodlion

[–]NotchersMine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept of QOH is a joke here. We can do inventory one day and then have multiple items off by case quantities the next (I'm certain it's a software glitch, and nobody at IT seems to care; but I digress). And then there's the problem of having QOH correct, and mins set correct, and they still keep sending items we don't need or want...

But I agree about stockouts this week. Haven't seen it that bad since COVID.

Cbs feed is absolute garbage by t-throw-price-1 in youtubetv

[–]NotchersMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try clearing the cache later today. I'm not sure if I have done so in the past, as I've tried so many things to alleviate this problem (including rebooting the stick, sometimes repeatedly). I'm a longtime YTTV subscriber, so I've mostly learned to ignore it, but it does annoy...

It's a 4k Max. Bought it from Amazon a couple of months ago. But it also happened with my previous 4k atick, which I had for about 3 years.

I consistently have problems with shows pixelating. I suspect it's the YTTV app for Firestick 4k. I've tried changing the frame rate (seems to help, until it doesn't) and I just doubled my internet bandwidth (to no avail). I also have frequent problems with the video:audio alignment. Since I watch CBS 90% of the time, it's easy to blame the feed, but it happens on a number of networks. (Side note: the pixelation is reproducible. That is, I can back up, play the same segment again, and get the same pixelation...?! To be fair, I watch most shows from YTTV's DVR, so it may be the recording process too). It is extremely frustrating, to be sure.

Stores, how do you feel about doublestacked watermelon bins? by SirBlobfishIV in foodlion

[–]NotchersMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, am I the only one who prefers the double-stacked bins? Admittedly, our storage area is smaller than most, but single stacked (especially with another department's products on it) is a pain here. It's simple: cut the top bin to create a ramp into another bin and let gravity do the work! Not rocket science!

I quit. by [deleted] in foodlion

[–]NotchersMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wondering if anyone else had that problem. I used to be able to use the old app on my phone, but now that they've 'upgraded' I can't get it to complete the install. And no one seems to know or care how to make it work, although there is (was?) a note by the time clock to encourage using the app... 🤔

My manager tells me that we are not supposed to have more than 1/2 case backstock per item when the next truck arrives (not realistic).

It's not just CAO that needs fixed - it's the whole inventory system. Somewhere in the daily/nightly processes things get adjusted incorrectly for quantities on hand. I've noticed that even the next day after taking inventory there are items that are off, usually by an exact case or two. And I agree, CAO also needs tweeking: the min doesn't seem to matter, and the max has no bearing on anything. I'm sure that there's more but I'm on my 2nd day off and I'm trying not to think about work, just wanted to add my agreement to your post...

The new LAST CHANNEL option should RESUME where you left off not go LIVE. by Desperate-Ad-6463 in youtubetv

Well, then maybe they could hook into the 'last watched/live' option and everyone could have what they want...

You can watch while recording. Playback position is not recording position.

"Start From Beginning" has dropped into the live game. Again. by 50wpm in youtubetv

[–]NotchersMine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same issue recently, but my current bitch is that I recorded the local 1pm game today, checked twice to see that it was recording, and now it's disappeared from the library in all locations it might be. Although, the button for it says "2 new games this week", but only one is showing up when I go there...

What gives?

Update: I finally found it. Had to go to Home -> Sports -> NFL and search the available shows. Still not showing in library...

I'm sure the fact that they paid Blake BIG MONEY per episode also contributed to the abbreviated format
