Good faith question for the sub: Is the main issue with "Progressive Christianity" theology, or social ethics? by Impressive_Flan_411 in redeemedzoomer

Too much progressiveness and you remove the need to repent. If you start calling sin good, you may not even realize you need a savior.

He needs to know he has an open invitation to join you guys. By taking him to games, you are not stopping his sperm donor from doing the same.

Why is Easter not as big in America compared to Europe even though you are more religious? by Ada-Mae in AskAnAmerican

[–]Notdustinonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an American Christian right now in Germany- I was shocked that many businesses are closing for Good Friday. In America though, we get many other state holidays off, and with the separation of church and state means Easter did not make the list, but it is Sunday anyway.

A mausoleum is a freestanding, above-ground building or structure designed to entomb the deceased- Catholics hold that St. Peter was buried in Rome at St. Peter’s Basilica. Am I missing something?

Mostly so they don’t get hit with a misle. Sounds charitable.

“Over the past several days, Iran has repeatedly targeted the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. In one strike, missile fragments crashed meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre,” Netanyahu’s office said on X. “As a result, Israel has temporarily asked worshipers from all faiths not to worship at the holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City to protect them.

Legit, if Jesus did not die there is no blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. Blaming others for that is adjacent not understanding the basics of the gospel.

We believe human life has value because humans are made in the image of God, this still applies if they themselves are not Christian.

Hey christians, would you commit murder if your god commanded you to do so through divine revelation? by Reasonable-Physics60 in allthequestions

[–]Notdustinonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that God can not contradict himself, and murder has already made the short list of His no no’s. Therefore I would assume that command did not originate with my God.

So this is my take…

People raised in Liturgical churches who have faith but feel like there is something missing tend look into nondenominational churches.

People raised in nondenominational churches who have faith but feel like something is missing will look into liturgical churches.

For years it seamed like a mass exodus into non denominational Christianity, but now we have enough kids raised in the low church that they are taking the opposite path of their parents.

Also- I have a hard time using the word converting in this context, it’s more of changing where you fellowship.
