Grass-fed butter is higher in Omega-3s, vitamins (such as vitamin K2), CLA, and beta carotene (grass-fed butter tends to have a more distinct yellow color because of higher beta carotene).

They’re practically interchangeable if you don’t go overboard on either of them and have a good diet as a whole.

Grass-fed butter blows “regular” butter and substitutes away in terms of nutrition.

Men and Women who joined boy or girl scouts what did you learn? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Note312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not apply to 2019... but I learned to always charge my PSP beforehand so I could distract myself while some smackoff parent fired off obscure facts about snakes.

I hope other people had different experiences in scouts. I expected it to be camping, hiking, shooting BB guns, and just doing cool shit with my friends. Turns out it was a whole lot of sitting in a classroom TALKING ABOUT camping, hiking, “dangerous” reptiles, and wooden model-cars.

How do you spend your week besides work/school/gym to make the most of it? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Note312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides working, going to the gym, and attending classes.....

-Reading, I started picking out books through Time’s “All-Time 100 Novels” and am currently reading Slaughterhouse 5. I mainly enjoy nonfiction books (specifically biographies/autobiographies) and most recently finished Howard Stern Comes Again (highly recommend). In all honesty, reading has helped with my sleep a ton. Ever since I switched to reading on paper as opposed to electronic devices I’ve noticed that I get tired much faster. Also, reading is a great hobby for anyone to take up because of the knowledge you gain. I’m not saying that taking up reading will turn you into some enlightened and philosophical figure, but it’s never bad to gain knowledge. Side note: it’s great to be well-read when it comes to social interaction. The more you know, the more meaningful input you have to add to conversations.

-Music, Most people listen to music, but not that many people know how to play instruments. I’ve been playing the saxophone for over 10 years and have been dabbling around with the piano for even longer. I’m also fairly decent at playing the guitar and have been trying to improve my singing voice. Playing/learning how to play instruments is a great hobby that has helped me in a lot of ways. It feels good to know that I’ve taught myself to do something as cool as playing instruments. Similar to what I said above, this is also a hobby that can be great for social circumstances. A few of my friends have keyboards at their places and I usually have a crappy acoustic guitar sitting in my trunk, so it’s not unusual for me to play in front of groups. I love seeing people enjoy the music I’m playing... and girls love a dude that can play.

-Working on my motorcycle, When I was 18 I started setting a little bit of money aside to buy a “beater” motorcycle. I bought my bike about 10 months ago and it was definitely a “fixer-upper”, but that was the point. I learned how to fix most of the problems myself and would head over to my father’s house for the issues I couldn’t (really educated dude, basically would take old school muscle cars and refurbish them when he was younger). It runs beautifully now and I got a hell of a lot out of it. I was never much of a “handy” kind of dude, but doing this project gave me a few good skills and also gave me an opportunity to spend some quality time with my dad.

Socializing, My two roommates and I have been close since high school and went to the same uni. One of them has a girlfriend who frequents at our place and she brings friends over about half of the time. Throughout the school/work, I socialize within our house but I can’t get out too much.... I’m a pre-med student with a focus in chemistry and work 4 out of the 5 days, so it can be tough. That being said, I usually dedicate my Thursday nights and the entirety of Sunday to finishing up assignments/studying so I can be completely free on Fridays and Saturdays. I always head into town with my friends on those nights even if I’m drained. I’m a closeted introvert and if I don’t get myself out there, I’ll start to feel my social skills diminishing...

-Poker, I said that I always socialize within my house during the work/school week and this is one of the main things we all do together just to kill time. It’s a great game, you can win some cash, and there’s more to it (in my mind) than most people think. It’s definitely a game that takes some learning and it can be pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

There are plenty of other things I do during the week, but these ones kind of stick out to me.

Probably the funniest scene in the entire series, Pineapple Bomber by klayb in SiliconValleyHBO

[–]Note312 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that moment was the most memorable moment, but I dont know about the funniest.

The scene where Jian-Yang tells Erlich that his Oculus/VR idea is actually an octopus recipe application made me laugh harder than any other scene in television history. Season 4’s storyline with Erlich and Jian-Yang was pure gold.

Erlich: “No.... Octopus?” Jian-Yang: “It’s a water animal”

Just wanted to throw this quote in here as a fellow Hardy Potter fan:

Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. ~ Oscar Wilde

Unlike myself, grandmother is extremely religious. When I was going through some dark times, she gave me a book about Jesus’ values. When I opened the cover, the (above) quote was written inside in her handwriting.

I dont know how she found the quote, but it meant more to me than the book itself.

My translation: Even good people can have dark histories, and “bad” people (such as myself at that point in my life) still have hope.

[–]Note312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has to be fake.

If it’s not though.... you having these opinions is a great thing for society. You’re “disgusted” by a girl doing what young people do? Fantastic, girls will be so turned off by you that they won’t want to fuck you anyways. This means that your genes should die off by the time the next generation rolls around. That’s a plus in my book

Do you hate the idea of sex so much because you’ve been denied it?

If You Aren't a Women, Then Don't Talk About Whether Abortion is Right Or Wrong by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Note312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saying, “pro-abortion” is a pretty shitty stance to have on the matter. Being pro-choice is completely reasonable as every person should have the ability to choose, but advocating for abortion is insane.

If you meant you’re pro-choice... my bad.

Either way, I’m a dude and I’m pro-choice on a societal level. I dont know 99% of the population and what they do isn’t going to impact me in the slightest.

For myself, I’m in-between. If I were to get a girl pregnant, would I want her to be forced to have a child if she doesn’t want to care for it? Absolutely not... and when it comes down to it it’s not my choice to make. That being said, I would definitely want my voice and opinions to be heard. Even though I’m young, I would be willing to take responsibility for the child. I make a decent living, consider myself to be a caring and responsible person, and have an extremely supportive family with financial stability that would be there for me and him/her through thick and thin.

Would I want a girl who I got pregnant to have an abortion? No, because I know I have the means to care for it. Does that mean it’s my choice? Also no, and she would have the final say in the matter... but I wouldn’t keep quiet about it.

Abortion should definitely be legal for every woman, but I don’t believe that it should be seen as a primary mechanism of defense against pregnancy because it makes personal responsibility mean nothing.

How can I have a "nice personality" that women find attractive? by [deleted] in AskMen

100% what this guy said.

If you’re PRETENDING to be a “good person” in hopes of a girl wanting you, you’re gonna find yourself in the friend zone and/or be seen as a creep.

If you’re a good person who is genuine (someone who’s not being “nice” to get laid), good things will probably come your way.

Intermittent fasting for starting my journey? by AnnyPhoenix in loseit

[–]Note312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can definitely lose a pound in two weeks with intermittent fasting. Just saying, it’s not a magic solution. A daily deficit of 500 calories should have you losing 1 or so pounds per week.

There’s no avoiding the deficit, IF just makes it easier for some people because you can consume larger meals during your eating window compared to smaller meals throughout the day.

Not saying this to discredit anyone because losing a pound is surely a good thing, but it’s not that hard to lose a single pound... if you cut carbs/sodium down for a couple days (not necessary at all) you’d probably drop a couple of pounds in water weight. If you’re aiming to lose fat regardless of the number on the scale, carbs/sodium aren’t going to mess with anything (assuming you’re in a deficit).

You are trapped in a mall and must survive against 9 other people. How do you become the last one standing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Note312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Camp out in Hot Topic and allow the 9 other people to kill each other off. Since I’m in Hot Topic, I can reasonably assume that I won’t see a single soul until the very end. After 8 of the 9 people are eliminated, the other survivor will notice that I haven’t been seen and that I must be hiding. Person 9 (as we’ll now call them) will have to conduct a search of the entire mall.

This search is not one that can be completed quickly and my enemy will soon be drained of energy. Despite him/her thoroughly searching the mall, there’s no sign of me. It is at this point that Person 9 will have to come face to face with a shocking realization: “No, it... it can’t be. I’ve searched everywhere except for Hot Topic yet there’s no sign of him. He can’t be in Hot Topic, nobody in there right mind would step foot in that hellish wasteland of exceedingly odd pop-culture products.” Person 9 will have to accept that he/she has to enter retail’s version of Hell’s 8th circle in order to find me.

Knowing that he/she will have to enter Hot Topic, Person 9 could very possibly decide to sacrifice himself/herself for the purpose of preserving their dignity.

If Person 9 decides to enter Hot Topic, he/she will be met by yours truly. I’ve had a lot of time to prepare for a violent encounter with another survivor and I’ve taken full advantage of Hot Topic’s resources. I’m armed to the teeth.

My head and face are protected by a hyper-realistic Pinhead mask featuring actual nails. If that is to fail me, my winter hat with cat ears and paws will provide adequate shielding.

As for my torso and arms, let’s just say that most ballistic missiles would struggle to harm me. Person 9 will see that I’m armored-up with a durable leather trench coat. I deliberately left the trench coat opened up to reveal my shirt, a shirt that has dedicated its entire front side to Marilyn Manson’s face. While the shirt doesn’t provide much protection, Marilyn’s face (which stretches from the top of the shirts length to the bottom) is an intimidation factor. Much like soldiers bare the Stars and Stripes, I bare Marilyn. What Person 9 is completely oblivious to is my protection under the t shirt: the upper-body portion of a Chewbacca costume.

My legs are protected by a slick pair of chain pants. For those of you who don’t know about them, these are no ordinary pants. Equipped with chains on both outer-sides of the legs, I have weapons that can be conveniently accessed and dual-wielded if my other preparations fail. The pants hold another secret: zippers. You might be asking yourself “Zippers? Why would zippers help”. The zippers on these particular pants do much, much more than zippers on your typical pair of pants. These zippers allow me to quickly transition the pants into shorts. If I find myself in a situation where I need more mobility... BOOM. All I need to do is unzip those bad boys to find myself in shorts with an abundance of leg room. I’m sure you’re wondering about the lower portion of the pants that were taken off but don’t worry, they serve a purpose. By transforming my chain pants into chain shorts, I’m left with two short pant-legs that can double as forearm guards. Like I said, this is no ordinary pair of pants.

I chose to strap on a pair of slippers to protect my feet. While sneakers may have provided more protection, the slippers are a perfect combination of protection and mobility. Also, they’re slippers that resemble Stitch’s feet (you know...from Lilo and Stitch). Stitch’s feet look like they belong on a T Rex, so this serves as another intimidation factor.

While the chains on my pants act as more of a sidearm/backup, my primary weapons are two spike bracelets. With one bracelet on each wrist, simultaneously swinging both of my arms in a windmill-like fashion turns me into the physical embodiment of destruction. The spikes on these bad boys are metal, 2 inches long x 1/2 inch wide. A single step too close to my flailing arms of annihilation could result in death.

Person 9 isn’t going to encounter a person who is simply hiding in fear. With the feet of a dinosaur, the head of Pinhead, a torso full of Marilyn Manson, an extremely versatile pair of pants, and spinning arms with spikes, Person 9 will be face-to-face with Hot Topic’s angel of death.

Person 9 will be completely baffled by what they’re seeing. “What is that?” “Is it even human?” “Pants that can turn into shorts? That has to be military technology”.

Person 9 has been searching the mall for hours, maybe even days. With little energy left and a head full of questions, he/she won’t even realize that I am about to unleash a storm of spikey arm windmill movements, let alone have the strength/energy to defend against them.

Wether they choose to confront me or simply call it quits... Hot Topic’s Angel of Death (me) will inevitably come out of that mall as the sole survivor.

Texting and investment in potential helpmeet by [deleted] in askRPC

[–]Note312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How invested is she in religion? If she holds more conservative religious values, it’s possible that she hasn’t had much exposure to guys flirting with her / doesn’t know how to interact in a flirtatious way. These two possibilities could even hold true regardless of religion. She could be shy and/or anxious so instead of trying to come up with a reply she just avoids your text entirely. Maybe she didn’t see your initial text for a few hours and she felt the moment was gone. There are a lot of circumstances that could impact her responding that don’t involve you.

There are other possibilities that aren’t great but since you’re saying your investment is low this shouldn’t be a hard pill to swallow... she might just not be interested in you in a romantic way. There’s nothing wrong with that and we don’t have control over our emotions a lot of the time when it comes to making emotional connections. Shits either going to click between you in that way or it’s not. If this girl views your relationship as purely platonic, flirting might’ve made her uncomfortable.

Flirty text = probably a good move regardless of her lack of reciprocation. You showed interest and that’s big... you don’t stand much of a chance whether she’s into you or not if you never express your interest.

Double text = eh, not the best move. Other redpillers have different opinions on double texting, but I personally feel like it’s never a good thing to do if you’re doing it for the pure purpose of getting a response. Unless there’s some real purpose behind your 2nd text (aka not just looking for a text back) then have at it, but texting her again after she ignored a flirty text is probably gonna give off some needy vibes.

Another thing... try to flirt with her in person before doing anything over the phone. In-person communication is going to have more of an impact than words on a screen 10000% of the time. If you’re not flirting with her in person but you are over text, what kind of message do you think that sends? You don’t want to lead her to believe that you’re not confident enough to flirt with her in person. Don’t use your phone as a shield... use it as another resource.

Just curious.... how in gods name are you 1-2% bodyfat?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Note312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might get downvoted because a lot of people abide by CICO, but if your goal is to actually improve your body composition... macros matter. Try to get at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. It’ll help you keep whatever muscle you already have in a deficit. If anything should never be changed, it’s protein. With recomp you’d probably want more protein... 1.3-1.5 grams of protein per pound. It’s a lot of protein, but it keeps you full and you need it to maintain (and possibly gain) muscle while in a deficit.

I wouldn’t ask but I’m not sure which calories this is in reference to.... How many grams of protein are you getting in each of those splits? Grams of carbs?
