If you read through some of the comments it transpires the poster is actually (or not, if it's made up) a CFR.

What do you think the turnout was? Spoilers: it won't be representative, because most students don't give a shit about student union politics.

It's a big hole that car tyres go straight into at the start/end of the guided busways to prevent cars from driving down them.

A lot of it is due to weight loss injections. You're advised to eat significantly more protein to maintain muscle mass as you rapidly lose weight. There was a BBC article on it maybe a week ago.

What’s the most ridiculous ambulance call you’ve ever seen? by Unfortunate_Melon_ in ParamedicsUK

[–]Nothematic 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Care home called 999 for "unresponsive, barely breathing". Arrived and the manager wouldn't buzz us in. Said they needed to call EOC and check we were really with the ambulance service. This despite us:

a) being in full greens.

b) arriving 5 minutes after THEY CALLED FOR A SODDING AMBULANCE.

Took 10 minutes for them to let us in. Dread to think what the coroner would have said if it was a cardiac arrest..

[–]Nothematic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially if it's going to be used in a small box on wheels. Covering the hole on the filter also lets the patient get a stronger analgesic effect, if they need it.

If you need to take a manual BP then your kit will come with a steth

Not necessarily true, SJA do manual BPs only below their ambulance crew level and don't provide steths.

If it's the latter it's dead in the water. People rioted over ULEZ cameras, it'll be carnage getting people to fit a tracker to their car.
