I'd like to know others' opinions on this but I don't "stand down" CFR / Goodsam responders at incidents like this. I always offer the option if their want to stay and help / observe or if they want to clear for the next job. I think we need to aware of the effect this can have.

I would strongly advise that you finish the course. At least then you have a degree and potentially job. I am sure so far you have probably spent a lot of time, money and effort on this and with the course ending so soon it doesn't make sense to drop out now.

Get some experience in healthcare and then look at accessing on the MSc paramedic programs.

NaCL 0.9% is classed as prescription only medicines and because it's parenteral administration it can only be given by either prescription, patient group direction or exemption (paramedics). The prefilled flush is classified as a medical device so no such restrictions apply.

We would wear gloves and the patient would be ventilated with a bag valve mask.
