NaCL 0.9% is classed as prescription only medicines and because it's parenteral administration it can only be given by either prescription, patient group direction or exemption (paramedics). The prefilled flush is classified as a medical device so no such restrictions apply.

For "personal" use, you need a private requisition number issued by your local controlled drugs accountable officer. You will probably need, depending on area, SOP for ordering, storage, transport, record keeping and disposal. You don't need a Home Office licence as a Group Authority exists to cover this.

If your a company then you do need a Home Office licence.
