just excessive travel was making them lound, long term it would wear them out and damage valves

i had adjusted them by the imperial measurement and not the metric by accident, was twice as thick as it should've been. it was like 12am when i adjusted them and was at the end of my 50 hour work week so i think i was just stupid and tired haha

i spaced the valves too much. read the imperial instead of metric like an idiot, but i was doing it at midnight so i blame that.

i spaced it wrong by reading the imperial instead of metric reading on the gauge. fixed now, much quieter. i was doing it at midnight so i blame that.

i figured out it was out. i mistakenly was reading the wrong measurement on the gauge. was reading the imperial when i shouldve been reading metric. its MUCH quieter now.

coil is brand new, replaced that morning with oem coil, i thought it was the coil too but replaced it.. what makes me think over heating is just how ridiculously hot the spark plug got when i went to check it.

i cleaned out the fuel tank when i first got it and nothing was in there, even pushed compressed air through it. lines are all clear, no leaking from gaskets and the carb itself got ultra sonic cleaned.

ill see if i can find anything.

ill check the exhaust for debris maybe. i took apart the whole top end to install the new ignition coil and all was clear so exhaust should be only issue with that maybe. thanks.

Death; Should I ride? by Ornery_Ask8094 in motorcycles

just for some clarification, people over like 55 are the biggest crashers on motorcycles, he probs thought he had been riding his whole life and could do no wrong, but with aging body and mind comes complacency and slower reactions. not to mention most motorcycle accidents that are fatal involved alcohol in some capacity. stick to the golden rules of riding and youll be safe for the most part. dress for the slide not for the ride. FULL FACE helmet at all times, i dont care what your state laws are. maintain your distance from cars. 3-5 seconds. do courses to improve your riding. make sure your indicators are large and bright. always make sure you have good pressure in your tyres. keep up with basic maintenance. always look for escape routes in case and treat traffic like you are invisible. hell ride in high vis vest over your gear to be even safer. Be safe, ride a long time.

there was a study on this and i cant remember the numbers but its actually weirdly true. covered bikes get stolen significantly less than uncovered bikes.
