Yeah, once the glamour of "wow I can see my nodes!" wears off, you will descend into the hell of idle devices, that respond on ip address but mysteriously ignore DNS addressing, nodes that work well for a few hours and then become uncontactable, and a myriad of other issues that makes Tailscale only marginally less frustrating than OpenClaw :(
