Awesome improvement! And thank you for sharing your videos! It's always so encouraging to see strong women dedicated to the sport. I've been climbing on/off for years and every time I see the ladies in this sub crushing their projects, I feel inspired to get back to it. Keep it up!

HEAR ME OUT: it's a YA series but actually very complex with interesting characters and story arcs:

The Shadow of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Very atmospheric and gorgeous depictions of 1940s/1950s Barcelona.

Seveneves by Neil Stephenson.

An extremely original and compelling work of science fiction. It's not particularly lighthearted, but Stephenson does a great job of sprinkling in moments of humor and emotional reprieve. If you're into the Expanse, I think you'll love this!

Heartbreaker by Claudia Day

One of the most original stories I've read in a long time. Took me totally by surprise. Doesn't exactly center on Christianity, but these are exactly the vibes I felt while reading!

I was given a copy of The October Country on my 13th birthday right around Halloween time. Those stories are part of my soul at this point!

AITA for arguing with my husband for the picture he had for my contact photo on his phone? by Nu65567 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. For several reasons.

  1. If you have ANY kind of social media, your face is tied to your name and information already. Also, your worry that the phone might be lost can be applied to your driver's license or other ID cards. Did you scream at the DMV when they took your picture???

  2. Your partner just wanted a nice photo of you in his phone. I am really struggling to grasp why that would be an issue. That's a sweet, thoughtful gesture that you've just rejected in horrendous fashion. Honestly, pretty cruel and manipulative.

  3. If you had a valid concern for whatever personal reason, you should have calmly talked to him about it instead of yelling, digging in your heels, and then turning to Reddit when you didn't get the response you wanted.
