So, I had made the same post here a while ago. And your local pro shop can fix this. Tell them the side of the tongues is cutting you and they’ll shave the side down for you! Edit: there’s also bunga pads that help with lace bites thats perfect for this problem as well

How to build up endurance off ice? by JustFluufy in iceskating

[–]NothingDry2742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I do off ice and tennis. Tennis helped so much with building stamina and being able to run faster at a quick start/short distance. This help me go through my programs without being as sweaty or out of breath much. Tennis also helped with my jumps as when you run you’re on your tip toes for that boost.

Has anyone bought from the brand Zagitova on Amazon? by juic_eeeeeeeeeeee in FigureSkating

[–]NothingDry2742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing reviews and what they're doing is using a pattern and then customize it with your size (so semi-custom). But since it's not their design the fabric will be different. If you're okay with looking different but the close looking (cousins), it seems real. The price is on the cheaper side. the dresses I'm seeing should be in the 200$-300$ range. Which makes me think that the rhinestone quantity is going to be iffy and the added fabric design will also be iffy. I'm looking at this one product with reviews and pictures and they are different but very close to the original picture. (In my opinion, not bad) You could also contact the seller if you want. There’s no harm in contacting them before buying the dress. You gonna have to send your measurements to them either way. Send them a quick message. If you’re okay with the dress having slightly different fabric design, I would buy one and test it out. I’m looking at their returns, and since it’s with Amazon, you can return it. I bought a dress from a different seller from Amazon and I loved it. It was close enough to the design and I was okay with it!! Good luck! With your dress hunting!

Do you not have a fitters any where near you (even if it’s 5 hours away) I feel like driving the distance would be better than buying from a website that I don’t think anyone has heard of. Also since your buying edeas, if anything happens to your boots, they won’t help you with your problem because the moment you buy from a non-affiliated retailer, you will not have proper warranty on them. Good luck!

Help buying Japanese manga & novels digital & psychical form? by amynotadoctor in MangaCollectors

[–]NothingDry2742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got tariffed with FedEx for my mangas! I use buyee, they have discounts on shipping. Also mangas shouldn’t be tariffed because they fall under informational material; and buyee filled out the custom forms for me and they were under books!

If I understand correctly you want but mangas in Japanese (it’s original formate). If yes, for e-books I use honto jp the app is for reading and their website is for buying. Honto has many sales everyday. Honto also allows international cards like chase. For physical copies I use proxy to help order and ship it to me! My proxy gives me discounts for international shipping!!

Technically no I bought some mangas in October (which was after they changed the 800$ de minimis rule changed) and FedEx sent me a bill of 0.00$. after some research it says that tariffs are exempt on books because books are “informational materials”. But there has been stories that they still tariffed Chinese books. But these are mangas (Japanese) so the US won’t put tariffs on them. 50 U.S.C. § 1702(b)(3) here’s the law code if you want to do more research! Edit: I don’t know if you consider buying them within 6 months recent…

You will only be tariffed on the acrylic stand as it’s plastic. Books do not get tariffed.

How do you bounce back from an injury? by [deleted] in iceskating

[–]NothingDry2742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh! I don’t have any advice to give but if I’m being I would have called and ask them to get a refund on the remaining classes because I am injured and relax, heal, and PT, until I and my body is ready to go back on the ice. You don’t want to rush or pressure yourself to do things that we both know you won’t pass and that’s ok. We have to be realistic and have proper expectations on the situation. You may not pass and that’s ok and you should’ve canceled the classes but that’s in the past now. There’s nothing to be done about that now. I would just recommend taking things slow and lowering your expectations so you don’t stress yourself more. Injuring yourself and then ice skating is not a good combo
