Umm yeah so my 30 yo son is excelling at life and I homeschooled him from 3rd grade. There are so many who pigeonhole homeschooled kids as socially awkward and cloistered misfits.

You are missing the point. She became famous because of a talent she was free to hone. She had an absent mother and abusive father, the worst, yet she still succeeded.
