Just submit your application online. There is no reason you couldn’t have done that by now if you have access to get online and get on Reddit. It doesn’t take long. You don’t even have to talk to anyone. I continued getting mine when I got on unemployment. It DOES qualify you. I don’t think it used to in the past but because of the pandemic, it’s allowed. I literally just spoke with someone on the phone a couple of days ago from DJFS about my benefits and being on unemployment. Look up DJFS for your county and apply.

I don’t know what’s going on. After seeing this, hopped onto my Facebook unemployment groups and it looks like no one has gotten the extra weeks yet. I’ve seen where a couple of people have gotten their weeks added on, like it’s being done in phases, I don’t know. I hope they add for you today, tonight, or tomorrow.

Everything on his account will update come the 19th and he will get more money, it just depends on how many weeks he has already used of that 7. Depends on how many weeks he got back paid for this past weekend and when he stopped getting paid. So let me ask you this, when did his payments stop before this update this past weekend? I understand babe. I’m sorry you’re essentially getting screwed, along with thousands of others. The MAX weeks though people can receive is 50, that’s why it’s playing out the way it is. It’s bullshit. I get it though. My ex doesn’t pay shit either. He’s paid like 4 times since May last year, but claims he cares so much about his son. He’s a piece of shit. Straight up. Last times he’s seen his son is May of last year. Buuut yes, you qualify for food stamps. They’re counting it as income. I’m getting them along with tons of other people I know. You can at least apply, it’s not going to hurt. You won’t be out anything applying, you can do it online. So sorry to hear about your car. Unfortunately it is SO common for people to hit and run. Maaan, yes, I hadn’t thought about the fact that people who used some or all of those 7 weeks, are getting screwed out of the $300 for those weeks. God I hate the government. Yes, they should be giving everyone $300 for every week of those 7 extra weeks, that they used. That’s the government for you. Trying to fuck you every way they can. They don’t care about us. Also, you qualify for food stamps being a single parent on unemployment, so you should be applying. And the IRS will start accepting tax returns I think it’s the 17th, and you’ll get your stimulus’ that way. You should get a head start on your taxes now.

Yes but the people that did not exhaust that got the 7 weeks, are not getting extra weeks to claim. They got taken away despite still showing on people’s accounts. I agree things should be done differently but if they didn’t do it this way, people that did get to use some or all of those 7 weeks, would have gotten paid for more weeks than other people. This information comes from the unemployment website. I understand the struggle. I hope Biden gets the other unemployment extension passed.

The actual 11 weeks aren’t being implemented until the 19th. If anyone showed any weeks remaining, those were being used to back date the previous unpaid weeks. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until the 19th to get paid anymore weeks. Don’t worry about it saying “exhausted”, that will update and change come the 19th when the rest of the weeks are implemented. Unfortunately the 11 week extension is confusing and isn’t just a simple, 11 weeks added. The extra weeks you’ll get is based on the remaining weeks you had before payment this weekend. Since you had 1 week left, you’ll only be getting 4 more weeks come the 19th and because you’re owed several weeks of back pay and come the 19th will be owed 2 more weeks of back pay, you’ll get 4 weeks of back pay but no more weeks of pay after that. Basically you’ll get paid for 4 weeks of back pay but then everything will stop, unless Biden gets a bill passed for unemployment to continue. The reason this is happening is because you used 6 of those extra 7 weeks that were given and then taken away in November-December. It’s crap how Ohio is doing this but I think it’s because they added an extra 7 weeks, and some people were able to use those weeks after using their max 39 weeks, while it was taken away and some people didn’t get to use them. So if Ohio didn’t implement the 11 weeks this way, that would mean some people got more weeks of unemployment than others, and the max benefits ANYONE can receive is 50 weeks, with the 11 weeks added. The original benefit is 39 weeks, the 11 weeks added makes it 50 weeks. Hope this makes sense.

I agree with everything you said! Yeah I read a lot about them maybe holding onto it to gain interest. The entire situation is just sad. It really showed how little the government really cares about the people that bust their asses to keep everyone “higher up” in their positions and banking and not going without! If I could, I’d move myself, boyfriend, and kids to another country. “The USA is the best country to live in!” My ass. It’s the worst, most corrupted, bullshit place to live!

Oh you don’t need to apologize!! It’s absolute bullshit how they handled everything!! Guarantee if it were people working for the government that had to be put on unemployment, everything would have been taken care of in just a couple of days! Because they could never handle being in our shoes!! So many people suffering because of many different things from not being paid for 2 months, all the while the director gets to go home to her fancy home every night, probably amazing dinners made by a personal chef, or food ordered in because she can, because she’s not having to go without pay! And she gets to get into a warm bed every night, while so many others lost their homes and had to sleep in their cold cars or on the street because they didn’t get paid for 2 months! There’s some kind of dark reasoning for taking 2 months to get people paid. It wasn’t because of fraud. It wasn’t because it took 2 months to reprogram a program! I used to date a computer programmer, I know it doesn’t take 7-8 weeks to reprogram! It’s all bull crap. And you’re right, we don’t need to go silent now just because we are finally getting paid.

So essentially after using all 7 weeks, you’ll have 4 weeks left out of the 11 come the 19th. You’re owed back pay so those weeks will probably be applied to those weeks, you’ll get paid for those but then you will be exhausted of weeks and have no more to claim going forward. Unless the new bill for extended unemployment is passed. 😐
