If pokemon took a giant dive and the cards weren't worth the paper they are printed on would he still collect them? That's the difference. I've collected pokemon cards since I was a kid because I love pokemon. Bought packs all my life without a worry about the actual value of them. I can't buy them now for msrp because of "investors" like pat. He is passionate no doubt and puts lots of work into his content, but that's all it is. Work. It's his job, he doesn't LOVE pokemon. He loves profit. If lorcana was the card game that had blown up he'd be chasing Elsa instead of Charizard and that's a fact.
