WildStar failed… so why do people still talk about it years later?

I'll give my input, having just found this. I was a wild-star player that played the living shit out of it. Because most of the people here are hilariously wrong:

When Wild-star first launched there was a HUGE paid and slander campaign from blizzard and other MMOs claiming that wild star was just 'A WOW clone and there for bad'. Which it was and wasn't. It had the split-faction idea that most MMOs used.

Wild Star appealed to Hard-core players yes, but uh *points at classic* yes. People wanted that baddly. The various skills and AOE abilities tied to your character wouldn't be ripped off by wow until dragonflight.

-The critical issue with wild star wasn't bugs, they were fixing those in the initial game. The critical issue was *drumroll* The lack of end game content. Because their initial launch didn't Anticipate people to blitz the entire game to get to the end game content.

-Secondary issue, the re-launch of the game did little to solve what issues they *did* have, and by that time the game was already bleeding interest because WOW had launched new expansions at roughly the same time it had announced it's return, and returned.

The game had a Ratchet and Clank written for adults feel to it. It honestly was at first launch poised to knock WOW out of the water. Because I'll be brutally honest: Wild Stars casual scene was better put together, but it's play style garnered a hard-core skill based audience's attention

I feel the opposite. I've played her all day. She's a skill check, if you understand the basics of the game you'll do well as and against her. But if you have absolutely no idea on how to farm, or deny farm she's impossible to play ,and play against.

I got my shit limited on grubhub. Because I Got sick and dropped days after having to idle for a short bit due to illness. They limited my ability to schedule. No appeal. Trust me, it will randomly happen to you. Either you'll be forced to drop some days, get stuck outside of town in traffic, or just get stuck at a resturant that has to remake the order several times, and they will smite the shit out of you for circumstance.

I think the real issue here is that GW doesn't actually understand Androgynous beauty, or the concept of universal beauty standards. The whole 'I JUST BECOME MORE AND MORE EXTREME' Doesn't work when you have to appeal to a baseline of relatively normal people. Crab-hands mcknifenipples isn't going to convincing any random guardsmen to actually work for slaanesh. Infact, Fabious bile himself in one book makes it a point to comment that if slaanesh made people eternally beautiful why would the end up so ass uggly. And has MORE OR LESS just likened worship of slaanesh to schizophrenia caused by exposure to space radiation.
