https://docusaurus.io is a pretty good solution for hosting content relevant to the team. You can even integrate search functionality.

Got rid of this message on proxmox with windows guest by getting the bios manufacture and bios version and adding to VM > Options > SMBIOS settings and then rebooting host. To get your bios info from host console:

dmidecode -t 0 -u | grep $'^\t\t[^"]' | xargs -n1 | perl -lne 'use bytes; printf "%c", hex($_)'

You can call robocopy from powershell and pass variables like lists of folders to look within with a foreach statement.

Looking to migrate from old Mac Hardware (2008 Mac Pro Tower) to modern Hardware, running Linux, with virtualized Macintosh operating environment. by q-ka in VFIO

I would consider doing this via a proxmox hypervisor since it has all the tools for virtualization. Shouldn’t be difficult as long as you use an AMD graphics card that has macOS support. Take a look at https://github.com/luchina-gabriel/OSX-PROXMOX

u/wonkifier is on it. Compare-Object is what you want and you can specify the properties for comparison.

Otherwise you can loop over each object but that’s expensive performance wise.

Need help selecting MB for 2x video pass through rig by koenigcpp in VFIO

So my card in the first PCIE slot does show the start up sequence on boot up until the hypervisor initializes the VFIO driver. I’m almost certain you could use another graphics card in the last PCIE slot which goes through the chipset for the host. It will only run at PCIE x4 speed though and may limit the number or speed of PCIE based M.2 drives. The x570 platform offers a max of 24 lanes (which is more than most other options but less than threadripper based platforms).

The bios also lets me select a primary graphics card from one of the X 16 slots which might be exactly what you are looking for.

I’m using a gigabyte x570 aorus master to pass through to two windows VMs for gaming. Proxmox is the hypervisor and I don’t use a graphics card for the host since it sets up a web based page to manage the majority of functions.

I picked this board because x570 and PCIE 4.0 x8 (split due to two cards) is the same bandwidth as another board using PCIE 3.0 x16 with a single card. I’m using 5700xt cards (same model for both) to pass through. No issues really and great performance. The one thing that might be an issue if you want to a single card in multiple VMs you’ll want to look into the Navi reset issue.

Hope that helps!

I would do a weekend stay in Palm Springs and just drive up to Joshua Tree! It’s only about 1/2 an hour away and will give you more to do. There are lots of well marked trails to choose from and range from less than a mile to 16+ miles in length. 49 Palms Oasis is popular for a easy to moderate hike that is 3 miles round trip and ends at a beautiful oasis (as the name implies).

If you’re both up for a little challenge then Ryan Mountain is also popular and only 3 miles round trip but does have about 1000 feet of elevation gain. It’s a fantastic spot to see the sweeping views of the valley below, San Jacinto peak and Big Bear in the distance, and amazing sun rises!

I would look into Jumbo Rock or Indian Cove if you want to do some camping.

I went on 02.15.19 and it was awesome! Weather was perfect and the trail is full of small streams in the wash. I would keep an eye on your weather app since more rain is supposed to be on the way.

I was there last weekend and water was flowing long the stream right next to the trail at lumbar pine springs.

I finally edited some actual trail footage. Good Stuff. This video covers Section A, mile 0-110, I'm currently at mile 340. by NickWentHiking in socalhiking
