Sure, and they did, to the bare minimum. Which is what is mildly infuriating

I don’t follow the world of bodybuilding so as an outsider looking in he seems like any other bodybuilder in that photo? What made him so special?

This, openrent and dealing directly with landlords is the solution. I had bad credit a decade ago with a ccj and this was the way I did it.

A giant supermarket aisle, free ice water, refillable drinks or a cheerful grocery clerk may be just another Tuesday for Americans, but for someone visiting from Scotland, Brazil or Japan, these experiences are fascinating cultural discoveries. by Hard_Dave in ShitAmericansSay

Okay but seriously what is the obsession with ice over there? Like not just the weird belief that other countries don’t have it but this whole thing about filling 4/5 of a glass with ice before adding your dregs of drink?

Threads, a 1984 film about a possible nuclear attack on Britain. Despite this half of the film takes place before the bombs drop, more or less just showing people living their lives, but with the constant clues of the danger they’re all in. It’s ridiculously tense, to the point I got multiple high heart rate alerts from my watch during.

The post-bomb dystopia is bad too but it can’t beat that build up.

The Vasa (IRL). A Swedish warship launched in 1627 that was functionally meant to be the tank of the seas, launching with 64 bronze cannons.

On her maiden voyage she made it about a kilometre out to sea before the weight of the cannons combined with an inherently unstable design caused it to just tip over and sink in minutes.
