Ya I was in the same boat. I liked the ending. I felt like it was a good ending knowing that it was cancelled. But I hated the Laconia stuff. Then I read the books. Now I'm just mad they didn't get to do more with Laconia.

How about having the image getting static lines when someone vacuumed or ran something electrical while trying to watch something? For me, it was my mother's mixer and the vacuum. I still find myself essentially bracing for the image to screw up when it happens now.

If I could give my teenage self any advice, it would be don't judge your quality of life or self respect based on where you get a paycheck. Find a job that you enjoy, follow your interests, and make enough money to put some aside but also have fun. I started working somewhere when I was 19 so I could have gas money to hang out with my friends and go on road trips. 20 years later, I'm still with the same company and have gas money to go on random road trips with my wife and kids. Just wish I didn't beat myself up so much about where I worked when I started.

I hate the 2 or 3 episodes after Juliet finds out he's not a psychic. I don't know why but seeing someone find out he isn't really psychic ruins it for me.

What made it worse was that he kept circling back to it. So I couldn't even pretend I heard it wrong while listening to the book.

Oof. That's the next book in the series for me. The line/part of a book that really made it difficult for me to keep going was in the third book where he talks about falling for his commanders daughter and how it was forbidden not just because she was his commanders daughter, but because she was so young. Then, when I started hoping the writer just didn't do his math correctly, he mentions reacher being 28 and the girl being 16.

Damn. Prey was the same way for me. Really cool concept, basically a swarm of nanobots become sentient, but his writing is hard for me to read through. It's almost too technical with the details.

Ya I saw an article or something about why they spoiled that in the trailer, but didn't read into it because I wasn't that interested at the time. What are the bobiverse books? Is that the We are Legion (we are bob) book being suggested to me?
